GAMING IS NOT READY FOR ALWAYS ONLINE

I hope you're reading this, Bungie. The game is on a disc, with a huge installed file to keep it up to date. Being constantly connected to the servers in order to play the game, -especially when playing slo- is a completely unnecessary link for the game. If I am wrong do tell me, but I think I speak for most people when I say I would rather have an "Offline mode", to cut out players/events/xur whatever whilst the server is offline. When Diablo 3 came out and enforced its always online mode, there was uproar. This is not the new industry standard. I want to call you and blizzard out on what you're doing but quite frankly, I don't understand the need for being always online. I get that servers need maintenance, that is just a fact of having a game that has online connectivity. But remember Christmas time with the DDoSing attacks? How easy it was to shut the servers down? I really like this game, despite what anyone says against it. I rarely play shooters these days, but I make an exception for Destiny because it is genuinely a good game. But for all the things I wish you'd done differently with the game, the main one is that I wish it weren't always online. Especially since it does NOT feel integral to the game experience. When I'm not playing in the Crucible, it's practically the equivalent of the ghosts of other players walking around in Bloodborne. Is it worth sacrificing so much functionality for such a background aesthetic? Come on Bungie, you're smart people, you're better than this. All I would like is an answer. I read the weekly updates, but you have a reputation for dodging the most important questions on the players minds. Just tell me why you think always online is necessary for this game. You're better than this, and I'm quite sure myself and a lot of other players would appreciate it. Thank you very much, and have a great day. Shaun
