I think people who carry others to the lighthouse because they "donated" to a stream should be banned. Permanently.
I've heard of some streams where you had to donate $50 whole dollars just to be put on a waiting list to be carried!
There must be some law against taking peoples money for this reason. But when they use the word "donation" then people over look it. Stop lying you money hungry streamers and go get a real job like most men. You're not taking donations, you're taking payment for a service.
I also think people who pay to get carried should have all their lighthouse loot taken away.
What if out of nowhere bungie decided to open a school would they tolerate kids paying others to do their homework or cheat for them so that they could have the grades to pass? No, probably not.
The lighthouse should be only for elite players, the best of the best.
What do you guys think?
Edit: I love you some of you take the school analogy super literally xD when it's really not. Ha. Bungie obviously doesn't have a school, thanks tips. Since some don't know what an analogy is I've provided the definition: "a comparison between two things, typically on the basis of their structure and for the purpose of explanation or clarification." look at that it says two things, doesn't say those two things have to be the same. The fact is that it was a comparison between two systems being taken advantage of with the person reaching the goal through cheating. One is a person being carried through school by paying for their homework to be completed by someone else and the other side is someone being carried through trials by paying to be carried. So yes it is same thing lol next argument ;)

People pay to get carried through things everyday. Have you seen how many dumb doctors there are? It's like they got carried through medical school
-
It's the American way. Kids at the age of 3 start receiving credit card offers in the mail. By the time they hit 18 they're so much in debt they start shooting up schools. Murica
-
This has been in mmos for ages paying for carries through raids etc. This is nothing new just ignore them
-
This is America. It's a "free" market breh...

Edited by Kage Goomba: 6/22/2015 11:55:49 AMThe key point to understand is if money is asked for up front - its wrong and technically a TOU violation. (Ignoring the dumbass who posted a thread saying donating is a EULA violation) If they get carried through and asked to donate - anyone can say "F YOU sucker" and walk away unscathed. No one said you where required to pay. - If you thought you are - you're a sucker and a fool. Not that I'm condoning said practice. - Just don't overstep the legality of the situation. People reserve the right to throw their money at whatever they want. - consequences be damned.
-
Who cares dude? Doesn't effect me at all. Let them pay.

Edited by Tylerch11: 6/22/2015 6:51:57 AMDisagree. If two players are good enough to carry heavy weight, then they deserve to go flawless. You can argue the person being carried does not, but what difference is it really from luckily getting two really good teamates on LFG? Everyone knows that paying YouTubers for flawless runs is a service and not a donation. You act like it is some kind of transparency issue and people are getting scammed. They say 'donations' on YouTube because it avoids trouble with their channels. They know what they are paying for, and it is THEIR money to spend and THEIR choice to do so. And your school analogy is just awful. Comparing cheating in school to having more skilled people assist you in a TEAM event are two very different things. I personally think it is lame and undermines other people's accomplishments, but I don't think it equates to cheating whatsoever or that they should be stripped of anything.
-
Grey area, they're not taking control of the donator's account and playing for them. They still have to play and contribute.

If you thought $50 was bad: http://lf.enjin.com/services

Get a real job? These people are entrepreneurs. Who gives a shit if people spend money it's their business not yours.
-
You pay for a tutor. Sometimes a ridiculously overpriced tutor, but a tutor nonetheless
-
It's a sad day when you have to explain what an analogy is. Anyone ever make it past the third-grade? Anyone?
-
I think it's funny when my team plays someone who is "carrying" people through the lighthouse. We just take out the carriers first then easy mode on the obvious weak link.
-
Can someone carry me through trails this weekend, I am a 34titan that will do absolutely nothing to help, only die 9999999times. I will pay $50+ depending on how long it takes PS4, Gamertag is same as above Thanks
Morons, this is satire
-
Can anyone help me go flawless this week in trials. I have no money but I can provide average skills that can be useful. Hah. But really though my buddies are barely on anymore.
-
The ToO have really brought out what PvP is in destiny. This does not include everyone but, cheaters and people who prosper from trials should be banned from PvP period! This is what bungie wants people to play, Its to bad that bungie does not actually ban for longer than a week. With only 14% of the gamer base in PvP, if they actually started to come down with their hammer on bans, there would probably be 7% of the gamers playing in PvP, I'll gladly wait for IB.
-
It's not the people who carry who are the losers, it's the people who "donate" who are
-
Probably the same people complaining about cost of everything else in this game.
-
Edited by what's a primary?: 6/22/2015 4:06:44 AMI think that if you one of those people that got carrier it on ToO and you come to crucible using the emblem and you know you suck you should remove the exotic emblem I can't tell how many people have the exotic emblem on but they suck ass last game I play control with randoms against a full team of 6 using the exotic emblem guess what they lost 206 against 2k points lowers kd was .1

It's smells of desperation
-
I'm doing it just for follows. No way I would ever charge anybody. I do take donations though. If you need help add me on PS4. PSN is: RelentlessStyle.
-
This is nothing new. I used to sell 50's in H3. People make their own decisions.
-
This is also why trading shouldn't be allowed. "I'll send you Gjallarhorn if you PayPal me $50 first"
-
The flaw is in the game. People been paying for game services for long time now.

Paying to go to lighthouse is sad. Just plain sad.
