As we all know the only way to obtain reputation with a certain faction is to wear a particular faction item. This has always bothered me, since I've always wanted to wear non faction items and show off my other gear but never can since if I don't wear the faction gear, I can't gain rep with them. The alternative I propose is instead of having to wear an item to gain rep with a faction, you just go up to a faction leader and have the option of pledging allegiance to them, or whatever you want to call it. You can back out at any time and pledge to another faction or just not be a part of any. Once pledged you can choose to wear a bond, mark, or cloak,of that faction, but it is not required to gain rep with the group. If it is done in this way we will then be able to wear whatever gear we want while still being able to gain rep with the group. Anyone else in agreement?
