I'm an Xbox guy, but I'm PlayStation curious
Or, rather, I know that there are a lot of great games on PlayStation consoles, but my senior-in-high-school wallet can't afford both consoles (I've been a Halo guy for years, so Xbox is my default). Since I'll be graduating soon, I'll probably be starting some sort of job within the next few months. That said, are there any games on the PS4 console currently or in the near future (exclusives only, please) that would make it worth buying over the PS3? I'm already leaning a little towards PS4 due to the quality of the FFX HD Remaster (not to mention the option to switch soundtracks), but aside from that, I'm not seeing much, myself.
And please don't recommend Bloodborne. I've tried playing Dark Souls, and I've seen Bloodborne gameplay, and it's really not my thing.

Only reason I got an xbone was because there was a sale and all my friends had it. Also I had a soft spot for halo. But god damn was uncharted good on PS3. That and mod nation racers. I played the crap out of that game.

If you're into Halo, you should probably stick to the XB1. Bloodborne was awesome (and made me a fan of the franchise), but I still like Dark Souls better. FFX remaster doesn't really look any better than the PS3 version they did a few years ago (unless they got rid of a lot of loading time). I'm not super excited about either console's exclusives honestly. Most of the games worth playing end up on both. I have a PS4 because I bought a PSX in the late '90s and stuck with it. Halo was my my only real dilemma and I finally got to play them on my girlfriend's 360. I don't care for 343i's direction, so I don't feel like I missing out there. So unless you really want early access to No Man's Sky or have a hankering for an Amy Hennig-less Uncharted game, pick whichever one suits your budget and which one has the most comfortable controller.

PS4 has a larger variety of exclusive games. XB1 has the best exclusive FPS games. I feel PS4 has the edge when it comes to variety, sony own more development studios. 5 Repliesi can tell you that from my side of things, the reason i prefer ps over xbox start with membership. gold costs, what $15/month? ps+ costs $5. it also gives a lot of free games, most are meh, but some are keepers. they also give decent discounts for the subscription. rocket league will be coming to ps4 soon and that definitely has some big bonuses. outside of that, my ps4 is about 60% gaming and 40% netflix. my suggestion would be to stick with one or the other from a financial perspective. $20/month (assuming both xbox and ps+) can really add up. if ended all my subscriptions, i'd probably be looking at saving $500/year which means 500 less debt which means about 28%*500 less interest to pay and so on. just be smart and have fun. my fiance jokingly calls us a playstation family, but it really just comes down to brand loyalty for years of amazing fun and preference towards playstation games (castlevania, final fantasy, to start) and it ends at what my friends play on, which is playstation.

Ps has fantastic story based games such as TLoU, unchartered etc. they also have most Japanese style games, including the excellent star ocean series (the latest has just been announced as playstation exclusive), Tales series etc. not to mention Sony will be releasing their virtual reality system first half of 2016, Microsoft has nothing to compare to that other than a google glass type device.

If you want to stay up to date on console exclusives, you should stay up to date on the console. That said, the Uncharted and God of War series are fantastic and can only be found (for the most part) on PS3.
