Story and Raid improvements - I want to be afraid

So here's my opinion on how to make the story of destiny more immersive. I want to feel the pressure and the force of the darkness that almost wiped us out. I want to be scared. So far the story of destiny goes a little like this: 'A guardian recently revived from the dead fought four races of aliens on four different planets, travelled through space and time to get to the black garden (You'll never make it there, they said. Gut luck. You'll need it, they said) where he kicks the darkness right in its butt and sends it to wherever it came from... alone... in a matter of days. Like what? Then why did nobody else do it before? Because you are legend and so special? Hell no, there are like at least 16 other guys like you hanging out in the tower. I wonder why the darkness poses such a threat to mankind if one guy only could just jump in with blazin guns and take out the enemy's army all by himself in like 15 minutes. 'Hey guys, put the pizza in the oven. Imma kill Oryx real fast and be back for dinner in 15 minutes.' *11 minutes later* 'Yo guys, new record. Didn't even break a sweat.' It just doesn't feel right and it's not that much fun. I saw a post on this forum when destiny came out and I so sad I forgot the name of the author and most of the points he mentioned but the main point was: Make me feel anxious. Sometimes I want to be afraid of the darkness. I want to meet this point in the game where I have to turn and run away because the enemy is just too powerful. Like in the dark below in the story mission where you have to walk along a corridor that's totally dark. I was frightened when I walked through there for the first time. I want more of that. I want my guardian to be weak. I want to feel rewarded if I manage to kill some bad guy leader and get away with it in one piece. I don't want to kill five enemy leaders and 15 of their elite and get out almost unscratched. It doesn't feel right. Also you could've gone all out in the Crota's end raid. The story of Eris and her fire team? I can't help but to think they where utter morons to get themselves killed so easily and I don't see why Eris should be that defaced... You could have implemented a part where you get taken away by some snatcher enemy and your fire team is divided in two or even three teams and some of Get imprisoned and need to be rescued by the outside team. The imprisoned ones on the other hand find themselves locked up in a big cell. Trapped with them are former guardians who where disfigured by hive experiments. Also there is a timer that runs down and once the timer reaches zero the snatcher appears again and takes the imprisoned guardians to another room where he starts to experiment on them. You got another timer that runs down pretty quickly. If you manage to kill the snatcher fast enough you prevent a wipe, if not you see your guardians get stripped of their light and watch it fade and you have to start again. While the timer runs you can shine with your awesome music and make me feel frightened and under pressure. It's a little similar to the Atheon boss fight but if done correctly it should make you feel totally different. tl;dr: I want to be afraid of the darkness. I don't want to be able to rescue mankind from evil all by myself in a matter of days. Make me tremble in fear when I go on a raid. Let's wrap this up with a quick and good video about hero design that Bungie could lern from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IyPc5nw0Wk
