So let me get this straight. You boast about an expansive open world that you can sink hours into... yet focus a lot of time into PvP events. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the PvP events, but I'm not a competitive player. I only ever go into Crucible to do a few easy bounties for experience. What I do actually enjoy, is PvE. We've had, what, 3-4 Iron Banners with another on the way. And we also have Trials of Osiris coming at some point which is like Iron Banner for the ubermensch. A place for people who want to absolutely wreck face. We've had ONE PvE event. ONE Queen's Wrath. I guess you could argue that PvE has raids. Except raids aren't events. They're there to stay. This game is slowly feeling like a CoD clone. And I'm not talking about the nerfs and buffs, for the most part I actually agree with most of them. But there's little to no focus in PvE. For the first time I beat Crota last week. And do you know what went through my head? That's it??? VoG was waaaaaaaaaay more interesting than this. It didn't seem as creative as VoG. Fun? Yes, but I didn't get the same satisfaction as completing VoG. I feel like Bungie is losing it's focus... or rather focusing on an aspect of the game I didn't want. I want an expansive world, but what happens when you don't expand upon that world? You get a lifeless backdrop and a game that caters to tweens that are hopped up on Mountain Dew and Doritos playing the same repetitive maps and yelling at the TV because someone killed them with Thorn. That's the Destiny demographic, folks. That's Destiny's destiny. A half assed attempt at creating a living world, only to turn around and build upon PvP, not the world. I don't hate Destiny. It really is fun, but I didn't pay for a Halo/CoD hybrid PvP playlist. I should have looked into the game more. I won't be making this mistake with Destiny 2. And god forbid House of Wolves doesn't add anything new to PvE... I won't be getting it if it doesn't add something of substantial value for the PvE crowd.
