The Best solution to "Trading" issue

Ok so, been going over this in my head for a while. Many people want trading, a lot of idiots think there shouldn't be trading. So here's my solution: Each individual Player Can trade under the following circumstances; 1- Minimum Rank Required Level 30 2- Items can only be traded on equal grounds (for example: materials for materials, legendaries for legendaries, exotics for exotics) 3- Trades can be done an unlimited amount of times EXCEPT for Exotics and Legendaries, you get one Exotic trade (in total, meaning you can only ever trade exotics once, ever) and 1 Legendary trade Per Qualified Friend on your account, Thats it. 4- Trades cannot be completed by anyone who is not on your friends list for at least Two Weeks AND you must have Played at least 3 times with them, one of those times must either be a Nightfall or a Complete Raid. There would obviously have to be some sort of Indicative Icon next to friends names that qualify for clarity. Its complicated but it pretty much eliminates all counter-trading arguments. Thoughts? And I dont want to hear "no trades ever" because this game is an MMO-esque game and all MMOs have trading, hell, even the borderlands series has trading.

  • If they implement trading, I'd rather they just do it with no specific limitations, just that you don't know who you're trading with. Like an auction house. You put up what you want to put up and try to win the auction you want. Say you're looking for a Red Death, so you find an auction for one and put up a Fatebringer. Someone else comes along and puts up a nice LDR 5001, another guy puts up 400 Relic Iron, someone put up Ruin Wings, and the last guy put up a Thorn. One of you wins, (decided on by whoever set up the auction) the others get their stuff back. Trade done, everyone moves on. Simple, coordinated, and you don't get to trade directly with people you know without amazing coincidence. Trading has its own sets of pros and cons, but I genuinely think this is the lesser evil to complete and total RNG.

    • Fail. Shoulda read that first I posted the same thing basically Ex to keep people from trading gally for green if not a endgame roll trade only because I'd like some things my friends have and vice versa make it where there's a limit. Yano. Like Exotic = exotic = 10k glimmer = 100 marks = 50 aceendent/75 raident Legg = legg = 5k glimmer 50 marks 25 Acd. S/E 50 Raidnt S/E You see the pattern So hey trade you a gally for that sweet perk set on that judgement Ok here gally = judgement + 5k glimmer or equal amount of other payment Trading. Fairly. Good yes ?

Right there you made the trading system too complicated to code easily. Also, thanks for trading your No Land Beyond for my eight Gjallarhorn.

You may not want to hear it but it's not going to happen. What RNG type game do you know that offers trading too? The reward for every single thing that you do in this game is exotic gear. There is so little that if they allow trading you have nothing left to play for. I know, I don't agree with you and you're going to call me names but after your done insulting me think about it. You'll realize Bungie used RNG to prolong the life of this game and trading would go against their plan. Oh, please don't compare this to Borderlands. It has a Hell of a lot more content than Destiny which is big reason trading almost works in that game.

      • Create a 'Lending' system instead of a trading system, allowing players to switch weapons and armour between one another whilst in the same fireteam and returning them to their owners upon leaving. This way people with multiple ghorns can lend them out during Crota as an example and it doesn't take away the rng system or fairness of the game

Why do you keep trying?trading is not going to happen. Gear is what runs the game and if players can get it from other players their is no reason to actually do anything in the game. And the only trading once thing is not going to last long people are going to want more then there goes thousands more post about how more trading should be implemented.

A better solution is to not have it.
Get your own weapons kids. *grabs popcorn*
• Requires more integration with psn and Xbox live which might not be possible. By calling people idiots you have also biased your argument and idea. Just because people do not agree with you does not mean they are idiots when there is no evidence disproving their argument against yours. But on your idea I think it is too restrictive to be useful. But anything more open or allowing will be subject to real money trading and exploitation this includes end of activity trading. Your idea could work but I don't think the benefit would be worth the cost of making the system.

              • I think post event trading would be the best. Trade rewards from nightfall/raids/etc with rewards from other players in that effect with you. There's no real chance of abuse or ebaying then, since you can never know what reward you'll get

              • Trading opens up a whole host of problems under rocks that are best left unturned. Along with trading comes scamming, farming, and much more unsavory behavior all due to the possibility of users to make money from outer-game economy. It's a bad element to open the door to; if it's currently not possible it's best left that way. The last thing Bungie wants, and that Destiny's players should want as well, is to be forced to devote personnel, time and effort into policing scams and extra-game transactions gone bad. I believe the concept of reforging will clear up the want for trading a bit, but I do want to make one huge point that I really wish Bungie would consider: If the game's drops are random and users are awarded randomly without any means to trade those rewards to other users, then there is absolutely no need to see what drops the other players in fireteam/match receive. The whole random drop system together with the mutual knowledge of who got what suggests that trading was originally in the plan for Destiny. If there is no trading then there is no need to see the drops of others, so remove that from the game please.

                • I think if they do it they should only do it after night falls and raids and u have the mission end timer to decide if you want to trade rewards with your fireteam
