Invisibility

WHY BUNGIE? ,is it that the one advantage that hunters have on all other classes is glitched. When in game and in PVE why is it that when myself and my fire-team full of hunters go invisible to revive a fellow teammate but in the process we get stopped, shot, and killed by a Minotaur or a cabal's shield... Shouldn't it be that when a hunter is in invisibility that they should be completely undetectable from enemy forces. Because during nightfall's and raids while in invisible I have notice that double jumping or even running can alert enemies around you causing them to fire upon you and kill you in the middle of invisibility.... I just wanted to bring this to attention for the destiny community and Bungie, I speak for myself and all fellow hunters and blade-dancers out there that our one major advantage and strategy tactic shouldn't be jeopardized by being detected when we are completely invisible. Sincerely, All Hunters and Blade-dancers out there.

As hunters we have the unique and awesome ability to go invisible. Probably the best perk of any class. Somehow, you found a way to complain about it. I might start drinking early today.

  • What I dislike about invisibility is during the abyss, if I go invisible in sight of thrall, they get right in my face so I can't see and they follow me that way. I go invisible, walk backwards and every turn I make there is a hoard of thrall right in my face. That's annoying because unless I blink striked I become uncloaked and the hoard gets me. Happens at the end sometimes while I'm waiting for the bridge to form. There have been lots of times that I'm invisible and an acolyte is shooting me as i'm moving. It's not a big deal, just annoying. There are several things like that which annoy me, the other thing is when you are on your speeder and all of the sudden every ad is a crack shot with a fully automatic weapon or when dregs spam grenades at you in a nightfall. How come my grenades don't spawn that fast? LOL

  • Optic camo works fairly well at masking us from sight, but we can still be heard and our motion can still be detected on the HUD. I tend to use Stalker more for PvE than PvP. because it is invaluable for revive runs. It is a very powerful perk. Stealth really isn't emphasized in the Crucible, IMO. Anyone who has played Halo 4 or Mass Effect co-op will notice the shimmer from your cloak and shoot you and sniper rifles have a bit ol' targeting laser on them that gives away your position. You can crouch and lie in wait. That's about it. It would be nice if Stalker also muffled our footsteps as we ran, but that might be a little overpowered. Everyone in Halo 4 played Wetwork because you could practically activate camo and assassinate players at will and other players complained a lot.

  • I would have to point out that invisible means they can't SEE you. It does NOT mean that they can't hear, smell, and/or touch you. When you are running you are making noise. When you double jump it activates a small jump-jet, so again you are making noise. Let's step into the mind of the alien forces here. I don't know about you but when I'm in a warzone and I hear a noise, I'm going to find out what it is. If I bump into something where nothing should be, i'm going to be suspicious. And let's face it, I've got a gun (or blade). Why stick my nose in it when I can just fire a shot or take a swing? Personally, I would say stop whining about being the ONLY class with any kind of stealth capability. Warlocks are freakin' MAGES. Turning invisible, muffling sound, hell even turning entirely ethereal should be child's play. I mean, I get why Titans don't have any stealth capabilities. They are the blunt objects. The war machines. They don't DO "subtle," much less stealth. Although technically they do have "stealth" abilities in the form of flashbang grenades and the signature perk of the Helm of Saint-14. Warlocks are not only mages, but scholars. Observers. And what is the best way to study and observe? By not being seen. And again, freakin' space magic. Technomages (the merging of both magic and technology). Maybe if/when Warlocks get an Arc subclass they'll get stealth. Until then, why complain that your trump card requires a bit of extra care in the TOP TIER game modes? Did you think it was going to be easy?

  • IKR? I don't get why if Bungie sees fit to give you this advantage to begin with they don't just make you completely unkillable for as long as your stealth duration and all you have to do is crouch again to become unkillable. Seems they didn't catch the memo that stealth should mean completely unkillable for 95% of your gameplay :/

  • if someone is invisible, and they make something fall on the ground, you will notice. If double jumping in real life was a thing and it would make sound like in Destiny, you would notice them. Being COMPLETELY invisible/not making any sounds would be a little overpowered and would make PvE enemies look stupid.
