DayZ for Xbox and Playstation?
I, along with millions of others out there, have heard of DayZ.
The post-apocalyptic, open world, zombie survival Mod that was made originally for Arma 2, which has now spread to Arma 3, and now, even has its own standalone game.
What I would like to see as the next step for DayZ, is if Rocket would look into the possibility of a console port of the game. With the game having a standalone now, it's possible to adapt it to work with the next generation consoles. If developers want to really test the hardware and potential of the new systems, they really need to try something different.
Sure, State of Decay is a relatively similar version of DayZ. But it doesn't have anywhere close to the context that DayZ has, or ANY multiplayer. If the consoles can handle Planetside 2 (the PS4 at least), then DayZ really isn't that hard of a push, considering how few players are on a server at once in the same location. This is just an idea, and I wonder how many people would agree that it's something they'd like to see.

DayZ will take forever to reach consoles. Also it's controls are too complicated for a game pad.

Hoping on building a PC next year that can handle arma 3. I'm probably going to start with Tek Syndicates console killer build and upgrade in the future. Or if he comes out with a new build that's around 500 bucks I will build that. I hope it can run Arma 3 right away so I don't need to wait even longer.

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure DayZ standalone doesn't use the Arma3 engine which is part of the reason it has so many issues. And it's no where near finished on PC so a console version would be years down the line.

Its barely in beta cause the devs already cashed in on steam early access.

Playstation had H1N1, Xbox is working with state of decay I don't think they want the competition

They had talks of it months ago, but I don't see a release on consoles any time soon.
