Super Good Advice??
The very first exotic bounty I completed was super good advice. Did I waste my time upgrading this weapon? It's in my vault just sitting there cause I don't use machine guns and it was my 1st exotic so it has a place of honor. But lately it's been looking like an exotic shard. Anyone ever use this weapon?

2 RepliesIt's better than people make it out to be helpful hint for those who can't put things together SGA is meant for hipfire not ADS that's what Tlord is for. It is best used in close to mid range battles and is viable once you master it.

1 ReplyPeople say it's good for oracles on atheon and oversouls on crota since neither count as hits and it's virtually a bottomless mag. I sharded mine though.

3 RepliesEarly on I made a similar incorrect conclusion, that machine guns are inferior to rocket launchers. Do yourself a favor and explore a bit to see where machine guns shine, especially when you blip the trigger and head shot mobs for easy kills. If you're more in the spray and play group, then yes, machine guns might seem a bit useless, but try doing patrol bounties using a machine gun primarily and conserve ammo. A MG like SGA becomes a blast. I bet you'll start to use them more often!

1 ReplyIts amazing when your killing oracles, shooting oversouls and plus it's got a solar burn. And it's alright in PvP. But if you do get that bounty again it's always a Good way to get an exotic shard along with the dubious task exotic bounty.

4 RepliesIts good during the Oracle phase.. It doesn't count Oracle's as a target so if you have the super good advice perk unlocked then you never have to reload during the Oracle phase

3 RepliesIt's the only exotic I use in crucible. Since the Heavy ammo is a scarce commodity, the perk set on it is super helpful.

5 RepliesIt has a very specific use. That is its great against oracles since shooting an oracle counts as a miss you rarely lose more than 35 rounds when clearing all the oracles on atheon. Other than this yes its use is extremely limited. I only have one and any others I get are an easy shard.....although I have enough of those already too.

1 ReplySame with you man. I like it more than others do, but it's really only good for PvE. Don't use it for PvP. It kind of is just a trophy weapon that is cool to use and have fun with, but if you are serious, I would use other exotics. Just my two cents

1 ReplyOnly got it fairly recently (and then three more, because of course I did - thanks RNG) - it's a great weapon against shielded wizards and shanks (as in last nightfall), and non-enemy targets like Vex transfer gates. Feel like I heard a lot of horror stories about this gun, but have been pleasantly surprised to find it fun and useful. Bounty is a quick and easy exotic shard too.

21 RepliesBest Atheon weapon choices. Fatebringer/vision (or any primary tbh) - for the supplicant. Black hammer - this is what your going to use to kill Atheon. (People who use other guns besides snipers to kill Atheon are noobs) Super good advice - for the oracles.

I only ever use it on the oversoul. And I'm on my 3rd one. Sharded the first two lol. It's basically an exotic shard bounty for me now.

It's a good gun, really. Great for oracles, although, Icebreaker is really good for atheon and corrective measure is better for oracles (oracle disruptor). And VoC is great for oracles as well. And black hammer is also pretty good for atheon as long as nobody uses rockets or Atheon will move too much. So, Icebreaker is usually better than BH for Atheon. VoC for oracles/supplicants/Atheon and Corrective Measure for Oracles. Best choice. But some groups prefer at least one person to have SGA for some reason.
