Made a new character but the slog from 25-ish to 32 is slow and makes me a drain on the higher level players in the group. I'd rather not revert to my 32 character which seems redundant. I'd like to use the new one without being a drag on the group in things like raid hard mode etc. Weapons aren't a problem, those I can trade between chars. It's the class specific armor that hangs things up. Suggestions?

Edited by Vysi: 4/17/2015 10:10:15 PMGet your friends to help you speed run strikes to get enough rep and marks to buy gear. Buy an exotic armor for your new character with coins from your 32. Any engrams from your 32 should be transferred to your new character. In the future, consider not starting a new character until you've collected a stockpile of gear for them from your main. I didn't make alts until I had almost a full set of legendary/exotic armor waiting for them in my vault so they jumped to 27 right after they hit 20.

Its not an exact science, but here are my suggestions: -Buy an exotic piece from Xur with your 32 to kickstart the new guy. -Build Faction Rank as soon as possible. Its a lot easier to reach 3 New Monarchy than it is to get Vangaurd/Crucible or Raid Gear. You can go for raids after you are out of the 'burden' range. -All engrams recieved on any character should go to the new guy -Partake in any Iron Banners, Queen's Wrath, ect. That come around. These are the fastest way to get better gear.
