The Thorn bounty's got to be fix after 1.1.2 patch
People you gotta change this bounty after last patch! It's almost impossible to make it!
The Crucible part (500 points with void damage) before this patch was difficult but not impossible, I was doing fine (340 points); now, with the scarcity of secondary's ammo (the respawn TAKES MINUTES and I get ONLY 4 SHOTS for my sniper rifle) it's undoable and I hope you fix this ASAP.
Change it with something different, this makes the thorn a gun that only those who got it before the patch will have, due to the difficulty of the bounty as it is right now.
I hope you fill fix this soon, plus I don't really like the new way secondary ammos are distributed.

It's doable. If anything you should be dying less with the ammo changes. Not nearly as many run and gun felwinters lie getting cheap shots in. I thought I'd hate the ammo change but turns out it was in fact needed. IB was way more fun last night. I never really had trouble getting ammo. Maybe one time I ran out only from not picking up crates cause I was staying pretty full. Every time you see a crate grab it. Pre load up on ammo every chance. Look for a sniper that has return if missed, ammo on kills and:or randomly increase clip size on reload maybe? Or just switch to fusion or shot gun. Can't expect to just get it playing as you always do. I had to camp and run from danger like a bitch. Truth helps for sure, I camped heavy with it! Also like a bitch :) (always wait for teammates. Tired of dipshits stealing it immediately even with someone not far away and in route. Zero danger) Maybe hit the raids up hoping for void primary!

bruh; I got my Thorn 3 days ago; "impossible" lmao. I hated that bounty dont get me wrong; I was lucky when saw InfernoControl in crucible; no radar, hiding in corners near control zones waiting for someone to run pass me and sneak behind them for a kill took time but I eventually got it using New Monarchy's Purifier. It's only impossible if you whine about it instead of working your way and adapt a strategy to get it. You wont progress whining about it in here. Keep trying to get it dont worry about dying as long as you get 0.62 or above k/d as a result each round that means you're gaining points; dont get discouraged you're dying alot you're only beating yourself silly with your own self-fulfilling prophecy attitude. Keep at it get 0.62 kd or above and you'll get your Thorn. Good Luck

My friend just got it and he seems to be struggling. I get it though not many good primary void guns.. I finished it before the update . The swordbreaker and Ldr was how I got it. Welp good luck guys. Hoping for the ghally this week.

You do get a borderline OP hand cannon for the effort so it is only fitting that the bounty equals the reward.

I'm not the best in crucible and I got both of my thorns before the update but I doubt it's impossible. Next time I get the bounty I'm going to try to do it again just to see for myself. I'm positive anyone of my characters will fare just fine with a word of crota, sword breaker and Truth. Just to make it more of a challenge I'll do it on my Hunter (no void subclass).

If you get 4 kills, that means you're allowed to die 10 times, and you'll still make progress. 2 kills is still allowing 5 deaths for progress on the bounty. If you get 4 kills, run around with your other guns and get some kills, play the game, die a few times, get more ammo eventually, then go back and repeat. if you get 8 kills in a game with a sniper, which isn't hard, you're allowed to die 20 times. That should be plenty.

It's not a glitch so they won't fix it coz there is nothing to fix as it was done on purpose. It's the most frustrating bounty I've done and all you can do is take a deep breath and keep on smashing as much as possible. My first run I scored 6 points and changed my load out from a sniper to fusion. The only void I could find was a blue engram but it still did enough dps to get kills. Some 2 shots some one. I used maxed atheons epilogue which is hard coz of the nerf but doable. If u can find anyone to help do so to try and keep the deaths down but no one would help in mine which in a way made it feel like more of a victory at the end. After a lot of swearing. You can pick up another weapon from the gunsmith if sniping isn't enough.

Get yourself a word of Crota or athions epilogue then do it and it no problem. Also use a void shotgun like swordbreaker instead of a sniper rifle.

There is nothing wrong with it. I didn't pvp when I got mine. It took 2-3 days an hour a day and surprisingly I started to appreciate pvp to the point that I'm now PVPing more than PVE. Stop being lazy and man up.

There are two primary void weapons. So no excuses. Thorn is one of The best exotics, so you have to work for it

When Bungie announced the changes to special ammo I made sure the I completed my Thorn bounties asap. I now have 3.

One of arguably the best guns in the game is now hard to obtain...... Someone better make it easy again!!!!
