Is there anything wrong with this game? I'm seeing too much praise and not enough critique.
Edit 1: so I beat the game and I feel like a big problem is how much steam and direction this game loses after the Grand Cathedral boss. I also thought it was easier than DSII beyond the starting area. The starting area and first couple bosses were perfect but I'm sad that the game loses it's luster somewhere down the line from there on.

Got the Platinum for BB after 75 hours of playtime. The game doesn't really start until NG+ and the chalice dungeons. New game is the tutorial, the easy mode, NG+ was by far my favourite playthrough, NG++ was pish though, the enemies don't get much harder after NG+ The chalice dungeons are great though as you work your way to the Queen.

My only complaints lie within the loading times and the inability to see a "summoning sign." I thought it to be quite pragmatic if instead of a direct copy-paste summoning from Dark Souls, they utilised the bell system in such a way that you might "hear" a bell ringing in your game (from someone willing to help) and you answer the bell in kind with your own... And would thus commence jolly cooperation.

Long loading screen at approx 35 seconds, and some slowdown and pop-up issues - though I read that from software will be addressing these issues in a future update

Loading screens. Not the length, just the boring title screen. Wish they would give us some lore, or concept art, or something... Co-op. It would be nice if there was shared progression. There really isn't much reason to co-op unless you're helping a buddy beat a boss, and then you're immediately removed. The problem is especially noticeable in chalice dungeons. Beyond those two, it's a really solid game. There's little touches they could add that would be nice, like NPC's mouths moving. Overall, the best game out on the PS4

It doesn't play on the Xbox One :'-(
-
Only problem I've found is loading times.
-
PVP health reduction is bullshit No dedicated pvp area Co Op system is kinda iffy Patches is a spider and not a hyena
-
Well I don't know. It looks cool. But I can't play it.
-
exclusivity thats about it
-
Too much like Dark Souls. Thats about it.
-
1. Long loading periods. 2. Long periods waiting to connect to others. Other than that, the game has no flaws imo.

Lackluster story, riding entirely on the coat tails of the decades long pop culture obsession with Cthulhu. I half jest... I was completely lost until a friend of mine said to go read all the item descriptions. I pretty much have every item in the game now and I've beaten it twice (and gotten all the endings), yet a lot of things aren't covered at all. I love the game and the plot, even if it leaves room for a lot of speculation. Had the game been made in a world where Lovecraft's work hadn't existed, it would be wonderfully original and a something that belonged in the annals of WTF Japan.

Just played DS2... Seems bloodborne is more simplified and 60 FPS oh yus
-
I've never played a dark souls game or demon souls prior. So I had no idea what to expect, personally I love the game. I beat it already in about 5 or 6 days, I did a ton of farming, probably more than I should of. I also tried to beat as many bosses as I could solo and was fairly happy with what I could and couldn't down by myself.
-
Game is decent length. Not enough lore or replay value.
-
It's an exclusive
-
Apparently it's really easy. I would disagree, but I guess that just makes me a scrub who needs to git gud
-
Just frame drops and loading screens.
-
The bloody lock on and camera in general when fighting large enemies. I was stuck on Loran Darkbeast in a chalice dungeon for SIX HOURS because sure I was dying to the Darkbeast but 3/5ths of my deaths were because it would move between me and the camera and then swipe me to death.

Bloodborne is a niche game played mainly by extreme fanboys. Your not gonna hear them criticise a game they've been looking forward too for yonks bro :-)
-
Loading screens take a while, but that is my only complaint.
-
My only complaints are the loading screens (they are working on a patch so this won't be an issue soon), and that the game can be rather grindy in the beginning. Once you get past the first 2 or 3 bosses that also becomes a non-issue. The game is pretty much perfect other than that. Easily the best game so far on either of the new consoles.
-
It's getting praise because it's actually that good. The only reason it's not getting 10s is because of the long loading screens and minor frame rate fluctuations (which are both getting patched, lol).

Edited by Unyielding: 4/4/2015 9:15:12 PMToo many health potions and way too forgiving.
The loading screens are also longer than console Skyrim's lmao
My biggest complaints: 1)Loading, but they're supposedly fixing this. 2) The lock on feature has an incredibly short range; it is almost awkwardly shallow. Also it deals with cover very poorly and columns will often break your lock and hinder you from regaining lock. 3) The game handles angled terrain oddly and enemies doing jump attacks on angled terrain appear to have greatly increased range. It makes certain enemies (weird jumping spider things by the cainhurst castle) hard to deal with without pulling back to level ground. These are really my only complaints, it's overall a very good game.
