Have you ever wondered why YouTubers and Streamers never seem to have problems finding the Exotics they need to make a video? I have. The RNG system appears to have divided us into 4 groups. Group A is most likely to find weapon A and has a very low chance of finding weapon B. Group B has a High chance of finding weapon B but a low chance of finding weapon A.
Group C, has good chances of finding either A or B, and they are there to show that it is possible to get both A, and B,
to keep people playing. What is the 4th group you ask? That's easy! That's group D and they get shafted, as they have a 95% chance of finding shards.
YouTuber's and Streamers are in group C and as I said earlier they are there to show that you CAN actually get all of the Exotics...
The groups A, B, and C, are there to increase playtime statistics so BungieVision can show off to potential investors or whatever they do with these statistics. I know that a lot of people are plagued by finding the same things over and over, and It is more than likely the result of Bungie-Activision trying to increase their statistics to compensate for so many people leaving due to lack of content.
That is the real reason Bungie won't implement trading. It would reduce the grind. Bungie is so concerned with trying to inflate their statistics they forget that we aren't here just to "earn" unique weapons. We want to USE these unique weapons and play the damn game.
(this is first draft, don't h8 my grammar m8 I haven't grammar checked)

Streamers play for longer than average, of course there's a higher chance for them to get more engrams. Nice theory, backed up by no evidence
-
It's because of how many hours they put in, how many characters they use, and RNG
-
Slow clap for the theory that cant be verified... Hooray for personally biased opinions posted as fact.... Yayyyyy

Edited by Der Todesengel: 3/12/2015 12:40:42 PMIt all comes down to dumb luck and hours played. With streamers probably clocking more hours than most. However, being a fan of conspiracies, I can imagine a system where a few items are withheld on purpose from each person as an incentive to keep playing. Just one more VoG and I'll get "X" weapon or Just one more Crota run and I'll get that "Y" I need to complete my collection. But it really just comes down to luck and time played... - Der

Lol this is some of the stupidest shit I've ever read
-
I don't stream. I have 1 - 6 of each exotic weapon, I am only missing the suros and the lady word. Weapons I know I would t use anyway. I have three extra ice breakers and three extra vex's. Just Incase Bungie decide to ruin this game with trading. Here you go sir, I will give you one/two/three vex's for one/two gjallarhorn please.
-
lol they play for like 9 hours a day or more, and have made and deleted multiple characters so obv they will get the good stuff

Or you're just over thinking this very simple game. Maybe you're a little butt hurt too.
-
That, or bc they play a lot of Destiny, they probably have more stuff, bc that's how the world works
-
Or,they play more than the average. So statistically have a higher chance of obtaining all guns.
