[b][i]BUNGIE, ADD ELEMENTAL DAMAGE TO PRIMARY EXOTICS TO MAKE THEM WORTH THE SLOT[/i][/b] [b][u]BAD JUJU IS AMAZING IN EVERY WAY, GUN EXCLUDED FROM DISCUSSION[/u][/b] Important note: I want to reword an idea here, as this thread is insanely hostile, I think the problem is with the way better secondary and Heavy exotics people will say "time to pull out x!" And that feeling doesn't happen with most primaries. You CAN use the primary in certain situations, but it's never a time you couldn't just use a legendary raid. I feel like there needs to be more "damn I wish I had x primary gun right now" for situations. lack of elements on them is a big part of that I think. All the time you hear "damn I could use that raid gun right now" but how often do you hear that for primary exotics? That's not how I feel a gun of that caliber should be treated. Secondary and Heavy exotics are all substantially better than most primaries in all situations, and most primary exotics are mediocre to the point you might as well be using a legendary in that slot instead, or are marginally better via a perk or something, sometimes even the legendaries have more useful perks! What's the point of wasting that slot, besides using a mediocre gun for fun? And no I'm not counting pvp where a bunch of guns become worth it. PvP makes even white level guns good, but some guns aren't worth using in either section, like hard light and nlb, vex mythoclast is still a god in PvP and it's not bad in PvE but it's not good enough to make it a must have gun, abyss defiant does it's job of smashing wizards easier, and that was the main use of it with its solar damage. It's usable, but not worth it if you're gonna need ammo in your ice breaker or a powerful rocket launcher or lmg soon. Edit: I think part of the problem is how the game is designed. Crota is made for rockets, anything else is crap on him. Atheon is made for snipers (yes we all know he can be taken down with rockets and primaries too, not really the point). I think we need a raid that benefits the use of primaries, to diversify the guns we use. Icebreaker and gjallarhorn dominate PvE because of missions design, and I think bungie needs to rethink some of that. Maybe some boss that needs rapid fire weapons to take down shields or keep shields down, etc.
