Is there really such a thing as a PvE player or a PvP player? Why do you have to be one or the other? I regularly play both modes, and enjoy them both equally; have done since the very beginning. I would be surprised if the majority aren't in a similar position. Seriously, why would someone limit themselves to just one half of the game?

PvP sucks, lots of lag and lots of cheaters so I don't play and the rewards plain suck. Not worth the effort by anymeans. The best things to do in Destiny are PvE where team work is required.

This thread is full of "care bear stares"

I mostly play pvp now but I have nothing against pve. Both can be pretty fun but the difference for me is I don't like pve unless I'm playing with friends and I'm normally playing solo
-
PvP players ruin Destiny for me. I'm fine with the Crucible the K/D stuff. But when you complain on the forums and get a gun that performs great on PvE and maybe a just bit overpowered in the Crucible nerfed. Where it is unusable!!! That's when I get -blam!-ing mad!
-
some people enjoy both. Personally I hate pvp because the majority of pvp players are caught up in an endless dick measuring contest and feel the childish need to rub it in your face every time they get lucky with a kill.
-
I only do PvP because I'm forced by Bungie to do it. Otherwise I can't get the exotic bounty. In the meantime I've dropped a lot of exotic bounties because I have no pleasure to spend time in crucible... Trust me there are a lot players thinking like me. For Bungie it's all about PvP. All events are PvP (Bungie bounties, Ironbanner, Inferno,...), there are no PvE events in this game.

PVP is kind of a chore for me and i cant do it for as long as i do pve. But i do appreciate the different style.
-
The distinction stems from the fact PVP players whinge and Bungie listens and ruins the game for PVE players. Plus they are generally rude and immature, those that post here at least.
-
Ah, yes. PVPVErs. Out there, wavering between the light and the dark. A side should always be taken, little light. Even if it's the wrong side
-
I only play PvP if I need marks to buy materials for upgrades. I don't enjoy it at all.
-
I used to be mostly a pvp player but now I'm in a clan with people that like to raid regularly as well so I do both. I don't whine about either mode though. I just adjust. It's not hard. Use what works
-
love both
-
I play video games.
-
Mostly due to the PvP not being enjoyable for lot of players. I find it horrendous and a joke.
-
Unfortunately there is you scrub.. That's how a pvp player usually would say to this post.. But yeah OP it's all about how you play the game , your own experience..
-
Yes. Most if not all main PVP players are retarted and believe KD runs shit. It really doesn't. HM Crota doesn't give two fuks what your KD is. PVE players just care about enjoying the game and having a good time. No matter another players skill.

Only noobs plAy PvP so ya
-
I agree so hard that it hurts.
-
no, there are PvE or PvP oriented players, or for lack of a better word PvE/PvP tag alongs. they prodominately play either one but cannot avoid the fact that the other exists in game. many if not every gamer has done both and chosen a preference and decides to dedicate their time to it
-
Because some people, me included, really suck at PvP
-
I like both and agree with you OP.

The extreme side of the spectrum are the players who only do one or the other. There are far more people who do both but prefer one over the other. If asked which they like or consider themselves. Then there is a small group that excel at both.
