Level 20 Acolytes consistently spawn with a Level 5 Knight. Nothing else in that area is remotely close to Level 20, and there's no similar discrepancy in any of the other areas (on Earth or the Moon) where Blades of Crota and their Acolytes spawn; everywhere else, the Blades and their Acolytes are the same level, and are roughly comparable to the average level of the NPCs in the area. Since this is one of the first areas players access, and there is no way for them to even touch the Acolytes (while the Knight itself is a reasonable challenge), I'm hoping this is something that can be remedied.
