Weasel infestation.

Ever since the 1.1.1 update I have been getting bombarded by Weasel errors at least every two to three matches. I have changed nothing in my network since the update. Not only does it kick me out of PvP, it completely knocks me off my connection and slows down my Xbox One, so much so that I have to do a hard shut down just to get it to turn off. I can't reconnect to my network until I do this also. Obviously, this causes a lot of problems, mainly being the ware on my console. Doing hard restarts every 15-20 minutes is going to make my consoles lifespan considerably shorter. Are you going to buy my new hardware when your systems continue to cause issues?

  • So I also get a lot of weasels on the 360 which also bumps me completely off xbl until I restart my xbox. It doesn't happen at other apartments on the same account and Xbox. Mostly it happens when I'm in xbl parties I've come to find. And convincing my friends to move to game chat has been my only solution. Here's some things I contribute the error to come from 1 my nat settings on my router currently are seen as moderate to my Xbox 2 my router is very close to an LCD smart tv (< 3 feet) and I feel that the tv causes some magnetic interference that can disrupt my connection. Solutions: Try changing the settings on your router to have an open Nat Move your router further away from potential sources of EM interference And just try not getting into xbl parties when the weasels are running amuck

    I also can't play for more than 10 or 15 mins before getting the weasel. I havent even downloaded the companion app and this problem is quickly making the game unplayable for me. I vow to not spend another penny on this broken game until this issue is resolved.

    • Just wanted to chime in. "Weasel" is affecting me as well; constantly. I haven't timed it, but now that I think about it the next time I play Destiny I'll note the time of each event. It almost seems cyclical; maybe every 20/30 minutes. Regardless, I get booted completely out of the game no matter what I'm doing (e.g. mission, story or otherwise). I was playing Crucible yesterday and my "bar" (internet connectivity indicator) was red, yet I'm wired-in to my network (not wireless). When I check my connection status via XBoxOne (XBox Live connection) I have 0 packet loss and my download rate is 50Mb/s with upload rate at 60 Mb/s. My ISP is Verizon (FiOS). Northern VA (DC metro area). My brother lives in Utica, NY and he does not have this issue. His ISP is Roadrunner. BUNGIE FIX THIS and since this game is unplayable without an internet connection, will you refund me my money? Thanks.

      • I have the same exact problem. I'm sorry you are having this happen, but I am glad more people are starting to post about this. Something went wrong on the other end, whether it was Microsoft or Bungie... this really needs to be recognized.

        • I get maybe 20 min. tops before I get weasled. And it's a login screen boot, which sometimes Canary's me by killing the internet for a few seconds. It's not my side, this has never happened before.
