Psion Flayers (Destiny fanfiction)

I quickly whipped up this fanfiction after seeing CentauriAlpha's stories. I've never written a fanfiction before, so all positive feedback is appreciated. Let me know if you want Part 2. Now, on to the story.... RAPID 89ER 764021 ERROR CODE TESTING TESTING TESTING SYSTEMS ONLINE “Thank you Ghost.” The Hunter sat up, his cloak a mesmerizing tan, perfectly blending in with the sand that lay all around him. His armor matched his cloak, flickering on and off with invisibility, which hid him from the wandering Cabal below him. The sun was harsh, but the Hunter’s helmet interface shielded him. “Ghost, tell me why I am here again.” “Hunter, this is not important, is it?” “The Psions. What are they.” The Ghost spun several times, and opened up. Blue light emanated from the small machine as it searched its database for anything on the Psion Flayers. The Hunter patiently kept an eye on the three targets as they wandered around the sandy terrain. CODE 9182503: PSION FLAYERS REPEAT PSION FLAYERS “The Psion Flayers. A group of 3 Psions who managed to take back the Dust Palace in a matter of days. Technologically advanced, these Cabal have been outfitted with a deadly arsenal. Proceed with caution Guardian. Names include Kolar, Vatch, and Numoc.” The Ghost ended the transmission. It had come from a Titan scout who had been killed just days before the Hunter made his arrival to Mars. The dead ghost of the Guardian had been recovered. The transmission was one of the only recoverable files on the ghost. The Hunter eyed the Psions from the snug nest of his sand bed. The weapon, an LDR 5001, gifted to him from the Vanguard in luck of his mission. The scope felt natural, its cap flipped up, a window between life and death. “Ghost, take a scouting run. Take some pictures and send them to Cayde. He’s going to want to know about this.” The ghost complied and whirred downhill. The Hunter watched as the ghost weaved in and out of numerous Cabal, who clearly looked bored. The Hunter was scared. His ghost was his lifeline. The ghost snapped a few pictures and spun around silently, returning to the Hunter’s grasp before vanishing. “Take the shot Guardian.” The Hunter steadied his sniper rifle as he crouched down. A wave of coolness flowed throughout his body as he relaxed. Looking down at his hands, he was completely invisible. This first shot would be easy. CRACK. The sniper rifle made a bellowing sound as it hit Numoc straight in the head, piercing its thin skull. The psion tumbled back into the sand, clutching its head as bluish blood ran down its body. It wriggled and took one last breath before falling silent. The other 2 Flayers were on guard instantly, not caring about their fallen comrade. The Hunter scoped out from his rifle. Several Cabal had heard the shot and were trudging up the hill. “Guardian, we have a problem.” the ghost stated. “I know. I’m sticking to the objective.” The Cabal rounded the corner and looked straight in the Hunter’s direction. The Hunter was vanished. The legionnaire moved closer, its heavy feet making large indents where the Guardian had set up his shot. The Hunter’s palms sweated, waiting to accept his fate. The Cabal was practically an inch away. The Hunter removed the sidearm from his belt, took aim, and pulled the trigger. Edit: Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! I'm going to try and make Part 2 soon!
