You managed to have a different performance on Shotguns in PvP and PvE. Why not all the weapons?
Really getting tired of my PvE experience getting hurt because of people crying in the crucible.

Because the performance change seemingly can't be split. Shotguns range didn't suffer much ( really at all from what I am seeing) and now they are one-shotting about 95% in PvP- not to mention the buff has them absolutely wrecking in PvE. I'd say that shotguns are easily [i]better[/i] in PvP after this update, no doubt.

I'm thinking that it may have been a testbed for splitting update damage rolls.

Yeah, auto rifles needed a buff in PVE before the patch. LoL They were fun to use but not really that effective compared to hand cannons and scout rifles. Now they are even weaker. And that whole effective range thing. LoL They want AR's to be a close range chainsaw but most enemies kill you in one hit up close. Which is why you use shotguns in those situations to back the enemies up. Even thralls are tough to deal with when using ARs. They simply don't do enough damage compared to other guns.

1 ReplyThe problem is that you've assumed that ARs were nerfed only because of their performance in the Crucible - and not because of their performance in PvE. That is strictly an assumption on your part. They may have nerfed the ARs because they are not performing to the specs that the PvE environment was built around.

You are right i dont see why they couldnt leave the guns as is for pve and leave the 1.11 retardedness for pvp. The pvp crybabies are what these balances are catered at anyway. I rarely pvp unless im doing thorn or bad juju bounty. I really dont see why pvp douchebags get to ruin pve.
