What is the point in doing a triple down on the first sword if your not going for a two sword kill?
-
Proper sword bearer? Good sword bearer runs 3-4 3-4 4 Simplez... Or 4-3 4-3 4 Or 3-3-3 3-3-3 Or 3-3 3-3 3-3 3-3 OR 4.5-4.5 4.5-4.5 OR 5-5 5-5

Proper sword bearer? No, If you are trying to show beginners you are showing them a dangerous route. There was no need to down him 3 times in the first sword if you were going for a 3 sword kill. To get a easy good run just get 3 hits each down, no need to hit him 4 times/down him 3.

Edited by Sir Gavanator: 2/28/2015 7:17:30 AMI found this helpful. Much appreciated. Mostly I just needed to know how many hits he can take before he becomes enraged, but it was nice to see another way of going about it. There are so many different ways to do it, it's frustrating for a hunter trying to learn. Everyone wants you to do it their way. Typically, I'll go up from the left or right, just because cursed thrall have been know to blow up as soon as I get to the middle rock.

Edited by Big Quazz: 2/15/2015 8:47:47 AMFor my titan bros out there not buying into the whole "Titans are only for distracting boomers" My build focuses on the defender subclass with max possible armor and agility. You'll be using the lift jump because you can jump straight from the group up to crota with no difficulty at all. Then set the bubble up with blessing of light, and illuminated so you can tank some crota and boomer shells if you need too as well. You won't be staying the bubble for long or be going back to it so put relentless on instead of bastion for extra force barrier incase you get the chance to use it. Don't risk killing yourself just get forcebarrier up though. The helm of saint 14 is really useful for this strategy, but you don't need it. You can run armor of light and make by without it but you sacrifice your overshield on the way up. Which shouldn't be necessary if the boomers are being taken care of.

Hardly what I would call a "proper" sword bearer. Just saying. A hunter should be able to down him in 2 swords no problem.

Here's some tips from another sword bearer (hunter) 1. Be a team player and help kill the sword bearer... Stay up high either on the ledge with your team or one of the poles in the middle and jump and shoot rockets. 2. When sword is down or almost down run to sword. Make sure your teams throws grenades at sword to stop thrall from hitting you. 3. Run and crouch on lower right rock... And tell your team to shoot just as you get onto the platform. 4. To get to the room simply jump off the platform and run under the bridge... Your team mates will have probably distracted the boomers when they ran in so when you run through the door you won't take any damage. Make sure to jump. Repeat. Pro tip: if you want to take him down 3 times crouch before sword bearer dies and get sword. Jump up straight away an hit him, blink strike him and after the 2nd bunch of hits run to right rock and drop sword to activate super pick sword up and run back in. You can switch around the crouch and super..
