legendary engrams=strange coins/motes
I thought strange coins and motes of light were blue as in rare. I thought they fixed that system where purples dont turn into anything less than purples. Legendary=legendary or higher, complete crap if you ask me. If someone could explain to me how they fixed the legendaries turning into rares situation, that would be great. Since I have had plenty of legendary engrams turn into motes or strange coins

1 ReplyHow about fixing the real problems bungie instead of nerfing guns that everyone uses. The dumbest things yall have done was, "oh we want to balance gameplay," it's our world and we will play with whatever weapons we want. Why make the gamer mad and more intent to hate you bungie?

1 ReplyHello RaTaRDeD PsYcHo, Bungie said that legendaries won't turn into rare weapons and gear. They can still turn into moted of light and strange coin which most people actually want and need unlike rare gear.

1 ReplyI wouldn't mind those. 6/6 purple engrams have turned into freaking shards for me. I have too many already. How about something I can equip Bungie??! Grrr.... But no, I've had 2 purple mail items give me two blues instead of one purple.

I think what Bungie is saying is that, your legendary engram won't decrypt into a blue (rare) weapon or armor piece. Strange coins and motes aren't considered gear or weapons, and don't fall into that category.
