Ok let's talk hive for a minute. They're these medieval-esq creatures who religiously consume the light. It's assumed acolytes become wizards and knights because all wizards are confirmed to be female. It's also assumed that thrall become cursed when a wizard fails to become an ogre, or is a stage to becoming an ogre. Then there's the shrieker. That's essentially just a motion sensing defense turret, I doubt its sentient. Now let's talk about why I bring this up. Heath ledgers joker. That joker, and the dc universe joker itself, is modeled after a medieval archetype of play characters: the clown. Also known as being the harbinger of death. The lead man of a hardcore band killing Joe? Actually instructed heath into how to act, and after he took his life the lead man went on record saying it's because he delved too deep into that mindset. Now, I bring up that real world morbidity to show the actual sense of death, insanity, and evil that is the medieval clown. Or, as I suggest, the hives New enemy type the jest. This would go off the thought that hive social structure is knight/wizard then acolyte, and any abomination is created for purpose, most likely starting from a thrall. So you have a thrall, a wizard transforms it into cursed for an ogre, or a deprived thrall( taller faster more bloodthirsty) so it can become a jest Slightly larger than a thrall and similar build, shrieks a horrible laugh and causes controls to switch, and causes the screen to go dim. Thoughts? The real world application would be temporary insanity.
