Aeolian sediments abound! But there are trees... and Phobos is awfully close. There may be some tidal forcing on Mars surface based on the proximity of Phobos. Perhaps some renewed tectonic activity?

did anybody notice weather Mount Olympus was visible in any of the Mars trailers because that would be a nice feature to help place the city and where the action.

I don't think anyone has spotted it yet. I saw a nice alluvial fan on the flank of a small mountain range on the Mars multiplayer map in the beta though. Someone post a screenshot if they see Olympus Mons in any of the released footage.

i will check that out, it would be great to collate any known land marks featured in videos like that of any of the planets to help us start placing the game locations and points of interest.

One of the original Mars concept art paintings included the words Tharsis Junction or something similar. This means that concept art is likely near the Tharsis Montes region of Mars, right where Olympus Mons is located.
-
In the Destiny Official Beta Trailer at 2.33 there's a sign behind the Warlock that has Tharsis Junction on it. This confirms the concept art. This location seems connect to the city skyline in The Planet Mars ViDoc. Then that city would be in the Tharsis Montes region.

ah that would be great for us , it would make it much easier to map as it is one of the most photographed regions after valles marineris .
