This new layout...it's bad. Let's face it...it is.
I love everything about the new Bnet except this layout.
It's just not as organized as it was before. It feels like you (Bungie.net web team) took all the forums and threw them together and said "Screw you."
I don't want to click on "Forum" and see a huge amount of topics from other places I don't want to see. Yes, I understand that on the left side and at the top there's the most followed and trending topics, but it still feels like you guys threw everything into a bowl of soup and stirred it around...good.
Basically what I'm trying to say here is this...keep the hashtags, bring back the FORUMS. This is not a forum....this is an activity wall.
Discuss the new website layout.

I love this new layout. It's not all dark anymore...

The thing about the new layout is that eliminates the "walls" within the community. There aren't a bunch of groups posting on b.net, there is only one now. I think that the web team is doing this in order to bring the community together. I like this idea and I think if we accept the new layout it will be better than the old one. This is also just the beta. I'm sure things will be fixed up and polished.

Let's all have a moment of silence while we remember the use-to-be Bnet.

6 RepliesLet's all remember that this is a Beta version of Bungie.next I say give it a few days. Yes, it is VERY different, and yes it will take some getting use to. I'm a person who has never used Twitter, and have only used Facebook sparingly. It's a very big change to me. I'm not used to using hashtags, but I'm not disowning Bungie over it. Give it a moment before we all bitch and moan.

This white is HURTING MY EYES. I don't like this at all. Bungie.net's dark background was kind to my eyes. THIS IS PAINFUL.

Edited by Vgnut: 1/10/2013 10:01:28 PMSeparate forums, no threads within threads, posts chronologically ordered, and threads bumped by new replies. There's a reason this formula is used by popular discussion boards. Bring back the quote button. That solves a lot of the problems. The hash tag system can stay. Each forum would have it. There's no reason they can't work together. There is good stuff to keep. Spoiler texts, the followers thing is fine, the ability to post pictures. All great updates.

I hate it. I really really hate it.

1 ReplyConstantly clicking just to see replies is annoying as hell. No titlebars sucks too. Wish they would've at least kept that in.
-
3 RepliesShould have kept the main forums and allowed hashtags to simplify the forums to suit your taste. More of a filter than a search. Keep the frankenforum for people who like this, but give us back the ease of use of just clicking on the forum we want like before and only getting that forum.
-
Also....every time I refresh this thread's page....all of the comments get juggled around. Time to play the guessing game on new posts in a thread!

1 ReplyI don't see how having separate forums and tags can coexist. It's either one or the other.
-
4 RepliesIt feels like twitter. Maybe this can help?

2 Replieshuhuhuhuhuh bone.
-
Agreed. It is painful to see my favourite forum end up like this.
-
I think it will take some time to get used to, but I will ultimately end up liking it. Also, nice to see you Wargamer. +1 follow.

>a bone More like a whole Skeletal structure for me.

Yeah I'm not to fond of the Hashtags, it feels like Facebook, and the Forum looks like a disaster what happened to the separate forums ie the Flood.
