Advice For Guardians getting graded
There's a Guardian within these Forums that presents themselves as knowledgeable and experienced, and although they do possess SOME knowledge and experience, they are incredibly ignorant to many components of D2, and ignorant to even more nuances to this game.
They will spout "leaderboards", "meta", "must-have [insert something here]" or use arbitrary third-party websites to cherry pick matters, without context, in an attempt to solidify or validate their position, all the while ignoring the players highlighting the mistake and continuing to perpetuate this ignorance. This person will also attempt to invalidate other's opinions by insinuating that because a player hasn't done something in the game or by "shaming" a player publicly due to a slow GM time or some other metric this player deems as a threshold of "skill".
Even when confronted with irrefutable evidence of their error(s), they double down on their ignorance opting to "beat down" a fellow Guardian versus learning from them.
Please don't be like this Guardian. Treat each other with respect and always be appreciative of those that are respectfully educating you. It's okay to not know everything in this game. It's not okay to CHOOSE to be ignorant when people offer to help.

Then they'll report you for telling them to leave and go find someone else to cry to. Being a troll that can't handle things and then trying to whine about getting what they seem to be intentionally trying to get makes no sense to me. I guess I'll just [u]goo[/u] and deal with how a sh*tty troll can't handle being responded to the way they clearly wanted.

The person in question isn’t a good player or even a knowledgeable player. They’re just looking for validation in a place they feel they can. If they get an audience who desires their take then good for them, this world is literally full of people giving bad advice and yet somehow people are listening. They’ll always flounder when they don’t absorb knowledge from others.

15 RepliesPretty sure everyone here knows who you’re talking about lmao. Man lives to ego off of gmreport and uses long replies to make it seem like he knows what he’s talking about. Only reason I ever first “interacted” with him was because he was toxic and egoing on someone over that. Can’t just have fun and enjoy a game without someone nitpicking comments and every little thing about one specific activity, one that’s purely add clear at that, well tbf the newer ones have children’s games as mechanics. Credit where credits due.

1 ReplyWhat's grading?.. I do think they need to get rid of the guardian rank system.. it's a sad measuring stick of one's knowledge of the game,mechanics,loot ,builds . There are so many ways to achieve paragon with account recovs,glitches and let's not forget funny gun weekend(where people soloed their dungeon runs). On the flip side there's people that post here COMPLAINING about the same thing over and over and yet they never have done more than do anything more then bounties and patrols in the cosmosdrome.
