I was thinking why not add weapon crafting to the Guardian Games, Dawning, Festival of the lost event weapons and also to the Iron Banner weapons. I'm just saying make the events a little bit worth are while. Yes or No or Not sure your choice but the events do need a bit of updating in the loot pool.

Make everything craftable, vault wouldn't be crammed full of crap, half of which you won't use anyway.

I dont think crafting should be the answer to everything. Double or even triple perk drops similar to resetting at the ritual vendors, would help a lot. I want crafting but I dont want it to be everywhere.

1 ReplyDon’t think crafting should be a thing, but I think that double perk drops should be a thing. For IB: After resetting your rank once, you have the ability to get double perk drops. For Dawning: Completing cookie delivery to every npc quest. Guardian Games: reaching Platinum gives double, Plat Vanguard gives double left column perks while Plat Crucible gives double right. Solstice: Complete main quest. Haunted Sectors: 1 drop per master haunted sector completion, with a small chance on 10-wave normal completions.

Having grinded events, and never getting the rolls that I was looking for, I would much prefer to unlock crafting for the weapons with a long quest so you at least feel that you are moving towards a goal. In addition, sometimes the rolls that are good during the event change after the event... I no longer farm event weapons.

I personally wouldn't mind if they upped the red border requirement for craftable weapons - at least grinding for red borders is grinding for 'something', rather than grinding for a chance of a hope of a wish for 'something' like we are right now.

If we can craft the event weapons then they can't come out 10 more times for the events silly.

While it's a good idea on paper, the problem is the window to grind out these weapons is extremely small. Take the Holiday Weapons for example. You get three weeks to try and get what you want, then you can't make any progress for a year until the event comes back. Iron Banner is a little better, but not by much. Especially since they rotate weapons out in-between Seasons. The only way it could work is if Bungie significantly increases the chances for these weapons to be red border. Now I'm not a programmer, but I don't think Bungie is willing to do that it this moment.

1 ReplyEdited by Meaga: 12/8/2024 5:39:54 PMYes. I typically don’t have time to grind around the holidays when it comes to RNG godrolls. Some weeks I can play a lot, some not at all. It has taken me OBSCENE amounts of time to get godrolls on some weapons. For example, 155 grasp runs and that does not include the 17 total hours I spent on the ogre to not even get a perfect matador roll. STUPID amounts of time for some of these rolls. That was over COVID and I was in high school then, I’ll never have that amount of free time again and even if I did; I would never target farm like that again. That was terrible, and I had nothing to do but sit home and go to zoom class. These weapons come around once every year, and sometimes perks don’t get rereleased when the events come back around. I’m not going to choose destiny over time with family and friends during the holiday season. Most people won’t.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 12/9/2024 12:23:21 AMEverything should be both craftable and enhanceable while just making red borders drop from activity completions only. No weekly freebies. None from focusing.
