Since people can't help but complain about Sunsingers, but lets look at the main problem, Viking Funeral
I believe DoT not only takes you out of the game for about 14 seconds, it also leaves you one shot and all it takes is the use of a single grenade with multi chain opportunity that doesn't even rely on you to hit the enemy.
I believe that Viking Funeral should be nerfed or changed to a different perk to make Firebolt more fair
EDIT: Idgaf whether you agree with my opinion or not, I could care less, but the choice is yours so please vote whether you think the most 'OP' perk is actually OP or not

I say reduce the tick on VF by 2 and have it burn twice as fast.

Reduce the ticks, since they don't have a grenade that inflicts burn like incendiary grenade. That keeps it more or less balanced. Or just do the full damage and remove the burn.

Firebolts + burning set needs to make it so that when tagging an enemy, the firebolt itself only does like 21 damage, but then causes a total of 49 damage over a period of 7 seconds. (for a max total of 70 damage) This will give them a good role of support without the crazy ability to shoot once, and tag once with firebolt and walk away.

But I don't post asking to nerf it, because I know that no matter what happens, something is gonna kill me. That's what happens in pvp. You die. Respawn. Eventually die again. Only thing I would change, if at all, is the time. I barely have a problem with it.

I say the grenades are fine. One of the few counters that seriously deters snipers. God forbid we make it even easiar for snipers in this game.

6 RepliesDamage over time is overpowered. No class or weapon should have it. Thorn and Viking funereal are just the most prominent outliers at the moment. It's less of an issue with nightstalkers, gunslingers and sun breakers, but if it goes on sunsingers (which it should) all dot in pvp should go.

I think the general consensus is there is a problem with sunsinger/stormcaller warlocks atm. So basically either buff the other subclasses which would make time to kill in this game even faster which I don't think anyone wants in pvp (RIP gunfights) or tone down stormtrance and firebolts.

We faced a team of three sunsinger warlocks. I'm not asking for a nerf but good god, it's Firebolt+Viking Funeral+Tickle=Death.

2 RepliesStop asking for nerfs. As you can see by the poll, most people know it's not overpowered. Titans have shoulder charge. It's a OHK. Hunters have front(blink strike lawls). It's a OHK. The sunsinger subclass is built ENTIRELY around it's grenade and melee, without those two things you don't have a subclass. STOP CRYING FOR NERFS, AND INSTEAD ASK THEM TO BUFF YOUR FAVORITE SUBCLASS AND OR ABILITY. THE GAME WILL DRASTICALLY IMPROVE.

DoT needs to change in Destiny as none of it has reduced impact. Their should be a trade off between impact and DoT, having both will make it op. Its the same reason Thorn is so strong it's got massive impacted that competes with other guns then DoT on top of it.
