Raids too hard.
It seems like everything about bungee is geared toward 5% of the players. The elites. And if you're lucky enough for them to carry you through the raids, skolas, or trials, you will be able to level up. If you don't know any elite players you're going to be stuck for 6 months to a year. Normal mode should be for normal gamers. Let hardmode be impossible for the freaks who play 10 hours a day.
Edit: if you or your team used a professional gamers youtube guide to beat any raids, then please don't attack my post.. because you're only making my point..
The best players in the world are the ones who figured out how to beat the Raids and the Prison for us. 95% of the players didn't figure them out on their own and could not figure them out on their own.

I guess I'm an elite player then lol. Well guess what I'm not, however I'm 310 and I have a full time job and a life. Maybe your should just get better. Ofcourse really good player's will beat the raids first and everyone will learn off them. How else would you become better?

1 ReplyIt's really not that hard. Bungie does focus on average. Now I will say I was only one of 5 people on my friends list who beat King's Fall in the first week (out of 155). The game does focus on average people who play the game. It just gives them a challenge.

I do the raid 3 times a week. I am no elite player for sure. Just look at my shitty PVP record.

The thing I've realized over my time of playing destiny is that almost every time my friends and I ask someone to help us that has never done the raid always says the same thing. "I can try but I don't think I'll be any help I'm only ____ light". The reason a lot of people don't do the raid is they don't think that they can. I have beaten the raid with a fire team of 300, 295, 296, 285, 287, 283. None of us were using ToM and only 3 of us had completed the raid before (the 3 280s joined us for oryx since 3 of our previous group had to leave). It took us about 3-5 tries to kill oryx but not once did we wipe because of failing dps with at least 5 people. All of us had raided together before so we weren't just randoms but in no way are we "pro". This whole raid is just a big teamwork exercise so if everyone works together you can easily beat it. Even if you're just barely 290 light as long as you are with a team that communicates and works together you can beat the raid. If people won't let you in their group, make your own. I know this will sound crazy, but for all of you "we NEED matchmaking, I can't do the raid because I have no friends". Maybe if you guys got together you could do the raid. I know this must be mind blowing that all of you complaining about raid groups can form your own raid group. Stop complaining and waiting on bungie to hold your hand through the raid and just get it done yourself. Hell you could even use the post to find a raid group, just type your GT or psn username.

Other than that I'm 305 light with great weapons. Don't hate on the game cause you're no good at it, practice and get better find some chill people and play with them. I have a raiding party of three people I know in real life myself and a guy who lives fairly close to us we met on the forums and the last guy we usually get forum dudes. And half the time two of my friends don't do the raid. Stop whining Edit: THE RAID HAS ALREADY BEEN TWO MANED LOL

2 RepliesMe and group of friends did it on the first two days it was out. Took us 8 hours in total to do the entire raid. None of us are pros. It's simply a matter of figuring out the puzzles and working as a team. There were no videos, no walkthroughs. Just a lot of dying and cursing and trying not different strategies. It's not too hard, it's just a matter of being able to work with a team and hold up your end.

1 ReplyName a good MMO style game that has raids that are so basic everyone can figure them out without having the combined effort of the community. Couldn't think of any? Didn't think so. And you do realise that the first people who were doing / streaming the raid had over 20K people combined over all the streams who were ALL helping them and suggesting things. Bungie designed the raids (and pretty much all hard aspects of the game) to be figured out with the combined help of the whole community. Therefore, your point is completely redundant, and I hate to do it... But git gud son.

Maybe a series of scanable objects that piece together a redial of what needs to be done. Something like: "The high hanging fruits have a sweet poison that helped tame Oryx's beast during its rampage." And "Beware of the monstrosity's greatest flaw it will send him into a frenzy" Edit: Golgoroth

Some people don't have all the time in the world. This game is not hard. You're just not good. Quit whining. If you can't beat VoG on Normal than you shouldn't be playing this game. Hard raids took maybe an hour for me. The only freak here is you because you're too scared to find or make a group to do it yourself. You're just lazy.

1 ReplyI havent completed the new one due to the fact it always takes a long time to reach oryx due to explaining to newcomers what to do in the raid or ppl quitting. If I had the time I could complete it. Ill eventually get it done im in no rush.
