Avian anatomy isn't what got me my name, kid. It's what I can do in a fight that got me it.
Cobalt Phoenix. My actual name is of no concern, because it holds less of a memory than my alias. An alias... Or my true name at this point.
What are you really doing here, Red? I'm not joking. Isn't safe here.
I'm totally foll~... Out for a walk... Why are you out here birdie?
-
Waiting for an old friend.
He stares at you almost inquisitively through his visor, judging every single feature and running it through his mental databases.
Other than that, terrifying civilians of my presence. ... Red, if you were to die tomorrow, what would you do now?
-
She frowns at him, looks away, the back at his eye thingy. Well that's easy, not die. Dying doesn't sound fun...
-
It's not. But if you had to do it for someone you loved... Or perhaps be killed by an armoured stranger with an unsettling presence whom you just happened to follow out of... Who knows what?
The man lets that linger in the air, eager to judge the girl's reaction.
-
She takes a cookie from her pack, stomach growling, and takes a bite from it. Why?
-
Because death, contrary to what most think, is unexpected and a pain in the ass. Do you believe in the term "Every time is a time for lessons," Red?
-
Munch. Munch. Munch. Why?
-
Not even paying mind to the allure of cookies, the stranger takes out what seems to be a ceramic knife of Japanese descent, symmetrical in nature with a diamond-shaped blade head. It actually resembled more of a mini spear than a dagger...
Because maybe this is a lesson to not follow strangers. Didn't your mother ever tell you to not trust us?
-
Munch. Why?
-
Strangers might try and do dangerous things.
With an almost mocking step towards Red, the armoured man brandishes the Kunai with a pseudo-malicious intent.
-
Munch. Why?
-
With surprising speed, he runs his ceramic blade through the delicious snack. It doesn't break, but instead leaves a quite hot chunk of the cookie missing. He steps back a few paces and retracts the armour near his mouth. Turning off the superheated qualities of his kunai, the armour parts to reveal tanned Filipino skin with slightly glowing scars beneath it, as if somewhat radioactive. Regardless of anomalous properties, he smiles and takes the molten cookie off of the knife with his lips, savouring the heated snack.
-
Hey, that's mine! She charges forward and into him, grabbing for her cookie. She tries, and fails, to wrestle it from his grasp. Still, Red doesn't give up. You should have asked~!
LOL
-
Tell me who you really are and I'll gladly give the deliciously melted cookie back.
Tempting her with adjectives that would make even the most stalwart Space Marine hunger, the man tucks his knife into one of the small spaces in between the barrels of his shoulder mounted minigun, well above Red's height.
-
She grumbles and tries one last time to hop up and grab it, then gives up. She looks as if she's about to pout. Fine... Just call me Red.... Now cookie! She reaches back up for it, instantly back to cookie lust.
-
Real name.
He does a slight shrug, letting the kunai fall into his hand as he spins around and puts it to his face. When Red sees it again, it's missing another piece: the bastard bit it!
-
Her stomach growls angrily at him for the thefts, she almost seems to as well. Stop doing~! Ugh! Fine, it's Rose. Now give me back my cookie!
-
Surname.
He raises the impaled cookie high, still quite taller than her in his armour.
-
Ebonheart~! She struggles to jump up to grab it. The whole scene must look quite funny; A small girl hopping and struggling to grab a cookie from a giant armored man's knife held high.
-
Hmm... Nope. Still don't remember it.
A light warm breeze passes through Red, almost carrying her a few feet away from the man. Smiling once more, he parts his helmet armour and devours the molten cookie whole off of the blade with his lips.
Would you really want to eat that? I mean, who knows where this knife went?
-
She gives a "hmff!" And crosses her arms. Yes, it's food... Food is food.... And stuff... Meanie...
-
Just as she justifies her want to eat a cookie off of a knife, the man has an idea.
What's your mother's name, Rose?
-
.....why...? That doesn't have anything to do with this...
-
Of course it does. This whole time I've been trying to figure out why I remember you. If anything, this is your fault for not realizing this sooner. Because of your lack of intuition, the mean old birdie stole your cookie!
-
Edited by Kinda Red: 10/4/2015 9:10:04 PMNo! It's your fault for stealing my cookie... You... Mean person... Ugh... She takes out another cookie and stuff the entire thing in her mouth instantly, then glares at him while she chews. Mm. Fine. It's Serena Ebonheart, my mom.
