In reality, many matches end with 0 grenade kills across all twelve players.
That's not an average. That's a sum.
If you hate team shooting packs, then solid buffs would punish this.

3 RepliesMember in D1 when Mag Grenades killed other guardians in PVP? Now you can stick one to a hunters face, it'll explode twice while they run away and no one will get a kill.

They do not have to the be the thing getting the kill.

I respectfully disagree, I prefer gun skill ... if I lose my ones, it's because the other player is better, not because they primed me with a grenade.

Grenades are usually used to open engagements in my experience. It gives you the advantage over an opponent because you’ve already damaged them. I don’t see many people using grenades for kills. Maybe if the opponent is one shot and you need to finish them off. There are some very strong grenades out there. And there are some bad ones. I think they should start by pulling up the bad ones.

loving this meme/troll post

You are using grenades and incorrectly
-
Abilities are usually used as an opener or a tactic like calling in an EMP. If you know your kit, it's basically just a can opener. Throw a nade on solar and they lose a chunk. Enough for finishing off
-
Nah I'm good, the whole lobby is already spamming swarm nades. We don't need another sticky nade situation like d1
-
Yes we need stronger abilities 🤡

29 RepliesI’m all for more abilities in pvp.

20 RepliesThat's not because grenades are weak, that's because grenades start engagements and weapons finish them off. This isn't Halo where you pop a couple shots then throw a nade to finish them off

4 RepliesBut the perception is that ability spam is the death of the crucible. This is because that one time Timmy was ducking out of a gunfight and the other player skilfully finished him with an arcbolt around the corner it was absolute proof that abilities were out of control
-
1 ReplyI remember the day of sticky grenades in d1 They were fun I’m about to die -blam!- you

Edited by jhermannITJ: 9/27/2024 5:46:08 PMYou know what's interesting? So many people complain about ability spam... except it's all neutral game and follow-ups. No one gets killed by melees either... combo or clean up, sure... but pure melee kills are rarer than people think. I think it's because we die too fast. I've been doing some research... Watching PvP... If you look at Team Shot... where do you see it? What's the average ttk of those games? If you look at games where Team Shot is not meta... with ttks in-line with D2? That's Valorant, CS2, and Warzone. Destiny is a hero shooter in PvP... MOST of your offensive abilities suck... suck to the point that they'll never kill anything on their own. Shouldn't the ttk be closer to hero shooter ttks like Overwatch? Destiny 2 PvP respective abilities has always been... nerf viability. Whenever a class emerges with efficacy without parity... at one time it was Stag Rifts... then Titan Overshields... now it was Hunter clones. What if all that existed together? Bring up ttks... make abilities viable across all classes. Just as an example... A Hunter dodges drops the old tuning of the clone, nearby... a briarbands pops a rift... the void soul tracks to the clone immediately, destroys it... turns the threadlings aggro against the hunter with the void soul following behind them... Shouldn't it be more like that?

3 RepliesTell me you lose all your primary fights - without telling me you lose all your primary fights.

2 Replieslmao. This community couldn't handle swarm nades and you wanna buff ALL of them? Best of luck.

In reality, many matches end with 0 grenade kills across all twelve players. That's not an average. That's a sum. If you hate team shooting packs, then solid buffs would punish this.
In Destiny 1 grenades were one hit kills in PvP. The streamers hated it.
