What Games have you moved onto, or will move onto, after destiny has made permanently ruined the game for you?

Souls games got me out of it in 2021. [spoiler]It made me realize that, while I’m paying $60 every year or so for a quick little DLC (and this was around when they removed Red War, so content felt temporary.) here is Dark Souls 3 on discount for $20 or so, DLCs included, providing me half a years worth of fun. *Also I was tired of missing out on Seasons, paying then realizing I don’t have the time to play what I paid for, and then wasting that money. And I didn’t like the freezing ability in PvP. That sucked cause I didn’t buy the DLC. Then there was Bloodborne. I found my favoritest game right there. The Lore, the combat, the themes, the MUSIC all had what I didn’t know I wanted.[/spoiler] Returned to Warframe not long after that, actually spending some money on it after years of F2P cause they’ve been good to me. And cause Fashionframe is my endgame (I don’t like using plat to buy frames or weapons, but Slots, Forma (if need), Riven Ciphers, and Taters are free game. And it’s pretty cheap, kinda. … ._.; Thankfully I get many plat deals/“bundled-in” plat purchases) Getting the occasional good game here and there. Space Marine 2 is absolute table top cinema, looking forward to its growth. Monkey Game is peak Chinese Cinema, still need to finish it. I’m going to try the Forever Winter early access too. Looks like a good party game :)

Edited by EatTheCrow: 9/23/2024 10:32:45 PMI pretty much return to the same three or four games. 7 Days to Die, Destiny, Rust. I fill in dull times with mostly other survival or puzzle based games. Escape room type games are short but a lot of fun and usually free or cheap. I could also replay Ori and the Blind Forest repeatedly and always have fun. But to answer your question, Destiny. It will always be Destiny. I get it, tho.. the game feels more like doin chores if you focus on the grind. 2nd edit: Been eyeballing Space Marine. I know nothing about Warhammer or what the game is about but seen gameplay and looks like a good time.

7 RepliesI'm not bound to any one game, so I don't need to wait in order to play something else whenever I want. As it happens though, I'm currently replaying the 'Horizon' series and will probably be moving onto 'The Last of Us' series next.

Well that would be a bit of a list. I stopped playing Destiny years ago, and have played [i]a lot[/i] of games since then. Currently, though, I’m trying to 100% Kingdom Hearts III. It’s definitely the worst game in the series, but I’m doing my best to not hate it. Used Kingdom Key throughout the entire game which made it significantly better. Also just finished getting all the Prime Meridian skins in Risk of Rain 2. Good fun, even if The False Son is an obnoxious boss. I’m pretty much always playing Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. There aren’t always lobbies up though. And I just purchased the new Zelda and a game called Little Noah. Little Noah only seems alright, but it was literally $1.67, so it’d have to be pretty bad to not be worth that. I’m a little iffy on the new Zelda. Hopefully it’s not too BotW/TotK like, as I don’t like those games much, but we’ll see.
