And what if this idea is implemented in d2 and returned for the rest of the weapon as it was in d1.
After all, this is very cool, and will reveal the potential of the game - where you can balance monsters, and the mechanics of destroying monsters will become completely different.

You're referencing the fixed rolls system which included a sort of unlocking or leveling system of early D1. This was largely not liked by the community. Before they introduced random rolled weapons having fixed rolls that were unlocked by XP was a pointless venture because Motes of Light would let you insta-max whatever weapon you wanted. I'm not entirely sure the devs want this game to take that direction again since with the random rolls it aligns more to their "play your way" philosophy. You can get a gun with perks that fit your playstyle and someone else can enjoy the gun the way they want to as well.

1 ReplyPerhaps I’m wrong here because it’s been ages since I’ve seen that design, but if I am remembering correctly then that screen existed so that you would unlock a guns perks over time rather than all at once which we have now. I don’t think the final design looked anything like the screenshot (really can’t remember) but the idea of unlocking stuff over time was pointless because people had abundant motes of lights to use to get weapon XP, and generally the upgrades were cheap apart from those which upgraded the light level of the gear. The menu likely won’t return as it made stuff more complicated than it needed to be.
