Just to play devil's advocate, I'm guessing that if someone didn't buy Beyond light, then their rewards would suffice because those activities are for that light level for those particular expansions.

Not true, because you can still get to 1250, but even the strike playlist is 1100, gambit is power enabled too. If you're using 1060 guns you're screwed. Buying forsaken or SK now, costs you £25 each, and you get a story and a raid. You'll never get a raid group with old sunset guns, n the campaign's take 4-5 hours and there's no loot reward. I ran a few strikes last night on this new acc, I'm a veteran player, n I'm telling you it's disgusting that strikes are 1100 n people are forced in with blue gear at sub 1090. Doesn't sound much, but in reality it matches you with similair power guys, so you've 3 guys 1059-1090, bad guns, low stat armour, n anything about a red bar is almost champion like. Bosses take forever to kill, 1 hit you very often n it's just a horrible experience. Theyve made this game a pick up n play for short time then move on to other games, model . It's literally a very expensive mobile game these days. There's more bugs than content btw lol

This is true but people that have bought it want to complain now even though they exhausted all of the content of the expansion. I feel like the loot from those areas should be useful but if you buy those expansions and not the newest one then you probably have got it all wrong in the first place. Honestly the best way to move forward would probably be to make old expansions a part of the free content of the game like WoW, with specific activities being taken away but the areas, questines, some of the loot, etc still being available.

I think the problem with all that is the universal “season” model. If someone bought Forsaken, they can play forsaken. Their LL and everything else is relevant to the content they bought w/access to only that. Like, they’re trying to double dip and it’s pretty scummy. I started D1 about 9mo-ish before D2. Didn’t really know what it was and got it for free so gave it a try. Had a pretty good time, even w/locked locations. Then I hit LL38 and everything stopped. Literally every piece of legendary gear was 40. So I bought the expansions. It was worth it to me because of the game I had played thus far TL-DR: Give the ppl what they pay for
