I need rpg recommendations
Can anyone think of a good game on the Xbox one or switch that gives you multiple choices kinda like fable? I just finished my fourth Skyrim playthrough so I’m trying to find an rpg that has choices that affect the story. I don’t really dig telltale games btw.

1 ReplyStar Wars Knights of the Old Republic and The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind are both backwards compatible on XBOX One and are two of the best RPG's ever made in my opinion.

The original Fallout and Fallout 2 are IMO some of the best RPG's, much better than the Bethesda Fallouts. Then you have the Baldurs gate's, Neverwinter Nights (not the FTP MMO but the original), Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale. Yes they are not on Xbox, but they run on a toaster and are dirtcheap on PC. If you want a good modern RPG look no further than Divinity 2, Divinity 1 is also a good one but 2 is an improvment overall. As Japanese RPG's go take a look at Dragons Dogma, it is cheap and IMO much better than Skyrim. And as some have suggested the Mass Effect trilogy is also pretty good and backwards compatible but ME 1 is not well optimised and I dont know how other BC games play. Also Dragon Age Origin, not DA 2 or Inquisition though, they are pretty mediocre. And ofcourse Morrowind, its has dated graphics but it is otherwise a better and more complex Skyrim.

I’m pretty sure the Mass Effect games are backwards compatible on Xbox One. You can play them 3-4 times and still not hear all the dialogue. The great thing is, what choices you make in ME1, they carry over into ME2 and 3. So making a few important choices different, changes not only that game, but the next one or two as well.
