First of many quest step not reading

I picked up the crucible weapon quest for the mountain top. The first step states reach Brave. I’ve reached brave level I. Still doesn’t register. Should I abandon the quest and retry?

You have to reach Brave in Glory rank as the quest says.

I also reached brave I glory rank and did not receive credit for it. It's not an isolated incident. Two other post have same issue.
