I get many players have put time into their emblems and shaders. Or bought them.... but this is a god damn sequel. Not an expansion. Everything will be new. And I wish I could add all the people that are saying they are not buying destiny 2. Because they are... lol. I know I am. I don't remember anything carrying over from halo 2 to halo 3... I bought map packs for both and lost it once I bought a new game. Please loose the butt hurt.

1 ReplyOh my god. Thank you. Everyone is acting like they didn't see this coming.
-
It's called, "people will find any thing to bitch about"... I freakin hate this community.
-
1 ReplyI for one am intrigued about the idea of getting new stuff, and starting over.
-
6 RepliesWe get that and most of us will totally live with it at least even if we don't love it. BUT understand this. Destiny was brand new for one thing. Nothing like it before. It HAD MMO like qualities to it which many thought would lead to a continuous stream of content not the usual first person shooter reboot. Bungie also played that card heavily with all their respect your stuff BS they put out when ever it suited their current purpose. It isn't butt hurt it is like many things the way players have been lead along by the game developer.

3 RepliesEdited by HYDROSMOKE: 3/5/2017 12:57:00 PMIts called a 10 year journey. Cut and sold into pieces like the original destiny game. I think we all know how bungie works. Now. They dont give a shit about cheaters, quality, all that matters is money. Why let u bring anything. When they already know u will buy everything again. FACT

6 Repliesholy hell people are here are sofa king stew peed

18 RepliesSo all these rumors I've heard about Destiny being a "10 year game" were false huh. I understand the 'more grind, more money' aspect but at least recognize. How about this: give the veterans the option to carry their characters (and hard-earned gear) over but start the noobs at level 40 LL 400. Thus it's a fresh start across the board but let's us keep what we've worked so hard for!

15 RepliesEdited by Kratos: 3/5/2017 3:27:05 AMThey are entitled to an opinion regarding the lie Bungie told IGN regarding the progress carrying over. You are ok with it and they are not.
-
1 ReplyIt's immature kids that use their prowess in a video game as some kind of status symbol amongst losers with no life. As though any of this matters at all. Nobody else cares.
-
Edited by Swiftlock: 3/5/2017 11:50:19 PMNah. It's fair for people to express their desires to transfer shaders and emblems. They're just harmless cosmetics that hold meaning, some of which were a pain in the butt to find. Lighten up a little. Who cares what other games have done?
-
2 RepliesAlso, Deej said Destiny 1 will still be online, so you are not losing anything
-
All I want for Destiny 2 is 60 fps, dedicated servers and a more improved character creation page, or give us random algorithm characters to choose
-
What I think is hilarious is how these entitled children feel "progress" equals gear and items lmao!
-
-
Yes. Thank you so much. At least someone understands.
-
I don't want anything to carry over, I want to start a fresh new game. If we're going to something for being veteran players, then give us something new, from the new game. Carrying anything forward means there's more chance of reskinned items and I don't want that.

It should only be called a sequel if it has a story
-
1 ReplyI would only be annoyed by the reset if the new items we grind for are just reskins from the first game. Other than that, I'm cool with this.

Edited by SpakulatorX: 3/5/2017 12:13:58 AMJust want to know why if I'm playing my same characters how is bungie going to explain all my shit disappearing off my characters. Mugged by Randal?
-
10 year plan haha
-
2 RepliesBut oh mr unscathed bottom, they didn't promise it in halo. What part of that are you missing?
-
4 RepliesIm not annoyed by the reset, I'm annoyed by the fact that they hyped keeping everything and just now tell us they made a 180. I really hope this doesn't mean they just now made a decision this big.
-
A sequel is actually a continuation, so yeah, you are wrong. And just because other games did something, it doesn't mean destiny has to do the same.

1 ReplyEdited by Sherpa: 3/5/2017 2:51:23 AMhttp://m.ign.com/articles/2014/12/07/bungie-wants-player-progress-to-carry-over-to-destiny-sequel This is why everyone is upset. They told us our time invested would transfer over in some way. At the very least cosmetics should transfer. Edit: The reason players are upset is that bungie didn't communicate about this topic between then and now and it's basically a big middle finger by saying "okay everything's being wiped except your appearance that everyone's been begging to change for 3 years" I'd like them to transfer over cosmetics IF they aren't completely scrapping the way they work. If emblems and shaders are virtually the same in D2 there's no reason for them not to transfers however if they're completely reworking them then I welcome the wipe. It could pave the way to custom shaders / animated emblems Lack of communication is what causes the backlash they continuously face though
