Create an Exotic Submissions!

[b]Will yours be picked[/b]? Looking for creativity in naming, exotic function, general balance, and task specialization. All weapon categories open. Visual descriptions and/or included art are welcome. [b]New heavy!?![/b] Create the 3rd weapon type for the Heavy classification. A line of plasma cannons? Mini guns? Maybe something truly unique like raid relics and devastating melee weaponry. Categorize and design your ideal 3rd Heavy!   • "Heaven's Fire" A departure from typical rocket launchers, "Heaven's Fire" is a fully automatic launcher that fires small, high velocity, next-generation Wolfpack rounds. Ammo works differently. Magazine size is 24 base, 32 max with perk. There are no ammo reserves and thus no reloading. Heavy ammo pickups apply 8 Wolfpack rounds directly to magazine. Initially hip fire and aimed fire are the same. All rounds are dumbfire with proximity detonation. Fire rate about the same as a low RoF machine gun or automatic. [b]Heaven's Fire Perk[/b] - Aimed fire disables proximity detonation, provides aggressive tracking, and increases RoF. The role of "Heaven's Fire" is sustained medium to long range crowd control effective against soft and hard targets. With hip fire imagine a strong heavy machine gun with explosive rounds. You don't want to fire this thing at close range with proximity detonation enabled. Aimed fire provides devastating sustained and staggering DPS without incurring reload downtime. You could drop Crota's shield solo and quickly at the expense of all your rounds, leaving you dry. Good skill and coordination necessary to prevent running out of ammo.

  • "Feeling Lucky" A single shot hand cannon with specialized ammunition and mid range optics. Reload is somewhat quick to help compensate for single shot. [b]Firefly[/b] - A little cliche, however for a single shot hand cannon I believe this is necessary. [b]Feeling Lucky Perk[/b] - When aimed, rounds will lock onto target and guarantee a critical hit. The concept is similar to a hunting pistol with small scope. When zoomed the optics will lock onto a target and pass range and trajectory information to the chambered "smart round". This offers unparalleled accuracy at the expense of reload and lock-on time. Lock time would be approximately 1 second. Impact would be very high, along with range. "Feeling Lucky" would be ideal for hard targets such as Knights and Captains, and falter in situations with many soft targets (firefly would help some) or targets without critical spots. Due to perk, crucible damage would be [b]less[/b] than one shot kill, putting you at risk during reload and re-locking target.
