The Fallen tanks [i]way[/i] too long to kill! I ran into one by myself on the free roam mission and spent almost half an hour whittling it down. Not even Scarabs were that tough!
There are a few ways I can see to change this, like having a higher heavy weapon ammo capacity, or having the heavy weapons deal more damage, but the simplest solution seems to be just reduce the tank's health... by a lot. They'd still be offensive juggernauts but fighting them wouldn't be quite so tedious.
Of course, I have only fought two, so maybe it's not really a huge problem... though other people have expressed similar thoughts...

Wow, a lot of people have posted saying how quick it is to kill them. Could you guys please look at the date? This was back in Beta, when level and gear were limited, there was no black hammer to quickly take it down. Why was this thread even revived?
