Better chance at gear to run crota on normal?

I'm still looking for a couple drops and I'm wondering if the added weapon loot on hard mode gets in the way of the armor loot. In short, are your odds for gear better in normal even though your odds for something is better on hard. Hope that come out coherently. Thanks for your thoughts.

 • I'm a firm believer that your best chance is to run normal then hard. The double roll worked in VoG but not in crota. I've personally got better drops that way.

 • Well if you do hard first you get double loot therefore you still have the exact Same chance as getting armor. There is a chance to get armor in normal and a Chance to get weapons in hard. But you get both in hard except for Crota himself who only drops primary's on hard not the secondary's which only drop on normal

 • So, you get double loot drops on hard from the abyss, bridge and crota, but they are exclusively from the hard loot pool (I.e raid armour and primaries). So it depends on what you are missing, non primary weapons, do normal, any armour, do hard. The loot dropped is double, and there's no more chance of a gun dropping on hard rather than a piece of armour. Hope this helps
