The White Nail Perk Doesn't Work When Your Black Hammer is Fully Maxed Out
when i finally unlocked the final damage upgrade for black hammer i was super excited and then i found two bugs:
1) the icon doesn't look like maxed out gear (with no xp bar and yellow lining)
2) the white nail perk doesn't seem to work

They glitched and offset each other, so instead of fixing it they just took them out altogether.

8 Replies1) I have a maxed Black Hammer and it works with White Nail 2) The reason it doesn't LOOK maxed is because Bungie temporarily disabled Hive Disruptor (to be fixed) because it's kind of OP with the impact, damage rating AND the bonus damage against Hive Majors. The gun is still a beast, though.

Mine works fine. You have to [i]rapidly[/i] land precision shots. That means as soon as the gun is ready to fire again you should already be lined back up on the precision spot. If you take more than like 3 seconds to aim, it disrupts the perks flow and it won't replenish ammo. On Atheon, I can get off around 6-8 rounds before he starts moving without reloading. But once he moves and I have to line up again and follow his crit spot, I'll miss occasionally by just enough or take too long and have to reload. Otherwise it's worked great for me.

I have mine maxed and I'm white.. lol, but no in all seriousness.. sometimes against septkis or phogoth I'll be hitting crit after crit and it'll just not work, and I'll have to reload. Happens very seldom, not a big issue but the gun DEF does bug out once in a great while. Still an absolute tank tho.

Nope, they removed that perk. It will do additional damage once they fix it. Before a precision headshot won't work because the additional damage would register after the initial hit. Causing a non precision shot. Unless it was just turned back on, it's still off according to previous updates. P.S. Your post said, "....doesn't work if your black...." lol

It works, you might not be getting precision hit, it didn't work before because of the hive disruptor perk but bungie removed it so that the black hammer could work so there is no possible way that it's not working.
