Or you could just use the Thorn method for boomers and not risk unnecessary wipes. Idk if there's a video as supposedly the group I was playing with came up with it earlier altho I can see other groups figuring it out. Greatest method I've seen/done, altho during 6 hm runs last night something stupid would happen during last sword run while enraged like thrall meleeing through the window so we didn't beat him. I started at like 3 am so didn't finish but the guys I played with got it like 2 games after I went to bed. We had the runs down flawless until enrage (then dumb shit just kept happening lmao) gettin crota down to last sword swipe in about 5 mins each time using thorn and mid platform strat. Edit: added how to do Thorn method 1. Need at least 2 thorny guardians. Our group had 4 32s, and 2 31s. 31s if they have thorn, should be on thorn duty. 2. Charge supers up before activating crystal. Preferably a few warlock sun singers are in group, Hunters with arc blade/golden gun, titans with foh (they switch to defender after this). When everyone has super charged, activate crystal. When barriers drop, use supers and kill everything to create as many orbs as possible. We killed all the regular enemies first, saved the hallowed knights for last got them down to a sliver and had someone kill them with a super as they create 4 orbs a piece with a super. *sunsingers can create a lot of orbs quickly when radiance is active and they kill crap. The titan stryker should throw a flashbang as soon as wall goes down (have titan switch to defender after this part) 3. After everything is dead (do this as quick as possible), split up into 2 groups of 3s with 1 thorny Guardian in each group. 1 team go left and 1 team go right. Have thorny guardian shoot both knights once before leaving room to meet on middle platform. The dot ticks from thorn make it so they don't shoot while it's active. This gives everyone time to get to middle without taking damage from them. *don't have to do this part, as long as your group of 3 all leave their side at SAME time. The boomer shot mechanic won't hit anyone do to the timing of the shots. Usually if you all leave on one side and not together, one of the last 3 guardians out gets boomered. 4. When you get to middle platform, 1 thorny Guardian on left other on right, other 4 right in middle. When sword bearer comes out, everyone focus fire on him to kill him as fast possible. A sniper with armor piercing rounds is the best for this, as you can snipe him through rocks and walls if he gets thst far out and hides. We were killing him in about 3 seconds if not faster as long as everyone hits first headshot. *titan stryker flashbang is great for stunning him. Suppressor works too just not as well. 5. After he's dead, thorny guardians begin to shoot tower boomers. ONE SHOT each boomer. You don't want to kill the knights to spawn the wizard, just keep them from shooting. As soon as the dot wears off shoot again wait for dot to where off, and repeat until run is over. This keeps them basically in a stunned state and they won't shoot at the guardian sword bearer while he's up by crota. Our sword bearer never got hit and said he never had to worry about them the entire time. 6. After 1st sword run, everyone runs back to middle the opposite side crota runs to. *you can have a thorny guardian shoot the knights on the side you are going to, to prevent them from shooting at the group so everyone makes way back to middle safely. If you don't like that idea, have a titan go first and pop a bubble at entrance. He will get his super back when he gets to crystal room from all the orbs that were generated before. 7. Watch crota to see when he goes back to middle. Leave crystal room the same as before. Repeat the process for 1st sword run, and head back to crystal room when ogres come and crota chooses a side to run to. 8. Everyone should have supers again, 1 guardian needs to pay attention to crota and sword bearer location during this part. Other guardians are on thrall killing detail. Use supers as needed, but have a titan save his weapons of light bubble. 9. Once crota goes back to middle, everyone needs to leave on same side at same time with titan leading pack, he pops weapons of light bubble against the wall away from ledge where ogres are. Focus fire 1st ogre, then second. Dragons breath with solar flare is great for this (fire all 3 shots fast as possible, try to surround the ogre with the shots so it can't back away. It will have no where to move to as the flares will all be active at same time for at least 3 seconds). *2 things here-[b]1.[/b] If there is a stryker in group, have him throw flash bang at ogres which basically stuns them. Defender suppressor works as well just not as effective. It was preventing them from shooting eye beam for us. [b]2.[/b] Leave 1 person back in crystal room during this part on thrall duty. Thralls will randomly spawn in crystal room and mess your world up later during 3rd run. This is where we would forget to have someone stay back and screw up a few runs at last second. Dragons breath/area of effect grenades are good for thrall duty in crystal room but not necessary. It's better to use supers on the thralls to generate more orbs. 10. Same steps as above to down to sword bearer and stun knights. This will be your last run if you've had no mistakes. Be careful to not have your back hugging the clear barrier between you and crystal room. Wild thrall will spawn and they will kill you from behind through the barrier. Even if you have one person back in crystal room, they do spawn randomly and thrall person may miss them. If you messed up anywhere in the first 3 runs, you have time for one more run but on a crunch so it needs to be fast. If it looks like you aren't gonna kill crota on your 2nd down during 3rd run, don't risk it- He will enrage on the 3rd or 4th sword strike (and obviously still be alive) with no chance to down him again. Just regroup for a 4th run, you still have time to comfortably get it done. The faster you kill the sword bearers and then ogres, obviously the more time you have overall. You just need to have thorn upgraded to the mark of the devourer. You only want to shoot each one once and let the damage of time tick out, then shoot again. If you do it this way, you will not kill the boomers at all during the entire fight. They won't bother you the entire fight either. I had put on a helmet that let me regain health from orbs and wore ruin wings instead of glasshouse, and I only had to pick up an orb in the middle room for health once. When I a thrall got me from behind. I think that's it, I feel like I'm missing something or didn't address something somewhere. This was more effective than double bubble on boomers, or other tactics I have been in. It's less risky. We had him down to like 1- 2 swings multiple times, averaging around 5-5.5 mins each run from swordbearer on. Did about 6 runs before i got off for bed. We just made dumbass mistakes literally right at the end, the method was perfect, we just blew our chances from complacency and being over excited. Edit 2: I knew I forgot something. Added stryker flashbang/defender suppressor to a few places that I forgot.
