I'm getting bullied for playing destiny and I need help

Everyday at school some kid always makes fun of me for playing this and I love the game but now I feel like I should stop. If you look at my character, I've done so much in this game and I don't want to lose it all but I feel like I have to.
What should I do? Please help

But there is one thing we know about you, and that is that you dont deserve to be put down. They are getting hostile over something stupid like a video game. Hang in there man. It's about the other kids insecurities not you. I would suggest talk to your parents first about it. If you are uncomfortable with that see your school counselor. Counsellors see this behavior every day and will be able to help you. Don't be to hard on yourself.

Ignore them, people make fun of other people simply to make themselves feel better. He would probably suck at playing destiny. From how you wrote your post, I am assuming you are in high school? Well I am a Masters student at university and I am one of the few who plays any kind of video game. Most people here think I waste my time, never get my work done because I game and have no friends. Well most of my friends game, so it's our way to hang out when it's hard to meet in real life (we often meet once a week or every two weeks if there aren't any big assignments). So when people pick on me, make faces and scoff at the fact that I play games like destiny, I just remember that I am having way more fun than they are with their books and homework (and yet I finish my assignments faster than they do with better grades!). So my advice, just ignore the guy because he has no life, and you do. Plus destiny is awesome, he clearly has bad taste!

Never buy into the crap that others say to you. Learn to be your own individual and do not let the influence of others determine your outcome for life and you will make it far in this world. If everyone only did what others thought they should we would be living in a very shallow world. You are your own individual and you make your own "Destiny". That in itself is what this game helps to teach. Be the light in the world that makes a difference and fight against the darkness that try's to keep you down as an individual.... Stay strong and do what you enjoy devoid of what others say you should do...

Growing up I was overweight, loved comic books, video games, anime. I picked up Magic the Gathering in college, and as an adult still read comic books and am a gamer. It's all about owning who you are. If you love games, love being a gamer. Don't let another person's ignorance or insecurity ruin your enjoyment of life.
