Best PVE class in Destiny currently?
Have only tried a Warlock. Currently level 24. Am wondering if a Hunter is for me or not. Played the Titan during Beta.

If you playing by yourself Warlock-> No doubt The Voidwalker is incredibly powerful with its deadly grenades and novabomb plus the self heal. Add The Ram and you are death personified If you are doing something critical like nightfall or raids then the sunsinger gives you a second chance, still more fun Then you have the Gunslinger with his chain of woe and the other per giving you super stability and super fast reload If you are playing in a team Sunsinger -> that self res is a game saver. Too bad it forces you to hoard your super. Mind you: change to radiant skin and you are punching and grenading everything in sight without mercy Defender -> This class in a team is incredibly powerful. Orbs and shields this guy can keep everyone alive. Void Walker -> dat novabomb! Blade Dancer -> because sometimes you need to go stealth Striker -> uhm... not really sure what this is good for in pve. Panic button?

1 ReplyA defender titan's bubble is utterly worthless without Saint-14 and blessing of light is decent, but weapons is worthless (like 20% extra damage with the buff to it from the perk). Hunters, sadly, aren't worth using for PvE in their current state and need a MAJOR buff to golden gun's damage, a health buff for bladedancer in both PvE and PvP, and a damage buff out the ass for bladedancer. The warlock sun singer in PvE is without debate, the best class. The warlock is general is the best overall class without debate. A fusion grenade is like the gjallarhorn of grenades damage-wise. Self-res needs some sort of change because it's broken as -blam!- in PvE. Maybe make it so you can only self res when you're ready to be revived or something along those lines. The flame shield is crazy. Glide is the best jump in the game. Fusion grenades + HotPF + Radiance + Radiant Skin + the radiance lasting longer perk + touch of flame = outright, undeniably the best set up for pure Damage.

3 RepliesWarlock, based on Sunsinger alone. Why would you need a titan for a shield when your entire raid party could just revive after dying? It was so bad at one point, that groups wouldn't enter the vault unless all members were lvl 28-30 warlocks. They would take a lvl 28 warlock over a lvl 30 hunter. That's broken. Atheon was actually solo'd, which was supposed to be impossible. And the only reason is because of the Warlock revive, Titans and Hunters can't do it. And lets not forget the warlock melee which grants a shield ON HIT. The other two classes have to kill. The Hunter only gets health regeneration too, so your target has to be weak to benefit from it. The Titan has good skills for lengthy survival, but why bother preventing death when you can just reverse it.

The Titans bubble is only good if you have Helm of Saint 14. Warlocks Radiance is always good.

Hunter is more fun even if we can't tack a hit or to blade dangers far better sins you now we can move and it's continues unlike the the warlock and titans

All classes work together IMO. But I must say the titans usefulness in pve is great

Edited by Kayvaaan: 7/30/2015 5:25:48 PMIn pve, defender for sure: Run max strength unbreakable barrier with relentless for 15 second over shield with 20 second cool down which leads to only a 5 second vulnerable phase. Ruin wings + unending deluge or corrective measure + iron harvest =orb factory for using your heavy as your primary. Multi purpose bubble. Can be used as thunders dome to tank 5 praetorian majors with armor of light, or as a damage buff with weapons of light. Titan skates.

Defender Titan, by far, is the most valuable. Orb Factory, Bubble Trouble, and strong buffs for entering the dome. Every raid team should have at least one.

1 ReplySunsinger is OP in PvE, ToO, and rumble. But invisibility is critical for dismantling mines in PoE.

2 RepliesAs a hunter, I'm going to be honest here. If you are talking pvp, hunters mobility and throwing knives are amazing, but when it comes to pve, hunters just aren't as strong. Especially in the supers. Titans defender and warlocks sun singer outclass both hunter supers, and so do their grenades. Personally, I prefer the warlock for selfres, but Titans do great too. Hunters will be getting a buff with the nightstalker subclass, as that seems to work best in pve, but we still don't know.

25 RepliesWarlock Only character that can beat every part of this game solo, and without a glitch. Example, all other character need to use a glitch to beat atheon solo, a warlock can kill themselves and self res after he tries to teleport, rinse and repeat. Any character can solo crota. Warlock can technically solo skolas if you play your cards right. No other character can remotely do this. That said it is impractical to do it as a warlock, but possible. The only thing that can't be soloed with a warlock is the part in atheons raid where you need both relics ( gatekeeper), at least I don't know of a way at this current time ( never attempted to figure one out.)

Defender and susinger are the best. Blade dancer has some incredible utility in objective based pve content, but as a pure pve subclass sunsinger and defender are the strongest.

I suck balls with all three classes, but I tend to suck them slight less hard when I play as a warlock.

6 RepliesI'm a titan myself. But honestly the Titans bubble is too easily overcumbered by attacks like a Nova Bomb or a Golden Gun. The Titan smash is only deadly if you can find a group. Otherwise it's just a one time panic move to save you from a shotgun
