I am often critical of Bungie's recent direction in game design, but let me defend them here... There are many aspects of the game that can be soloed. Raids are not intended to be one of those things. It should be obvious from the start that it takes at a minimum three people to legitimately get that first door open. Seriously, raids are by design social events, harder puzzles to solve that require cooperation and teamwork. You aren't being "locked out". You get to choose whether or not to participate. If you want to see what's behind that door firsthand, you're going to have to hook up with some people. Bungie should definitely NOT change this or the raid becomes meaningless.

To be fair, one cannot access the Vault without at least 3 players, without 3 players it is actually locked, I think you know this but are pretending to think locked as some very narrow meaning in order to promote your view of things. as to the Raid being meanlingless, well I could have explained myself better, but I assumed most would know what I meant.... I number of peole have suggested the raid map be opened to NON RAID exploration and perhaps missions. Bungie could recycle the area cheaply and in doing so give players more of a reason to stay. As it stands the number of active players has dropped off a cliff.

Edit: I am not pretending anything, nor am I assuming anything: your true meaning apparently isn't clearly stated in your first post. You are not locked out, because you have the privilege of finding at least two other people. An example of locked out would be DLC content that you didn't purchase. You are asking the game to be redesigned so you can play it totally on your own. Am I wrong there? If I am right, then all I can tell you is you are going to be disappointed. However, this is disappointment you are creating for yourself. Bungie did not lie or mislead anyone about raids needing people. Further, they don't owe it to us to change the entire setup. This is one area in which I can say Bungie has been and should remain true.

Firstly you are wrong. Nowhere did I ask bungie to redesign the game, that is something you made up to try a build a case. What I did suggest (not my idea , I am not trying to take credit for it) was that bungie could use the area to create some other modes of play, they could use it for patrols, missions or just allow people to wander around. I am not saying open raid to single players, I am not saying bungie spend a bunch of monies, I am saying , considering just how small and weak the single player aspects of the game are, they might consider recycling this content to use in more ways. It is a solid idea, for a game company that clearly does not wish to spend any money at all and that has lost both reputation and fanbase by its ham fisted bungling of DLC. As to disappointed , you can decide how happy , unhappy disappointed you are about this game, I will decide for myself. I will give you a hint though, judging by Bungies lack of interest in supporting solo play to date, I would be completely shocked if they even bothered to comment on a topic like this never mind take any real action. I have written bungie off as a branch of ATVI that has no love for the game nor love for the players. as to Locked out , sorry bud you need to cop on to yourself, solo players are 100% locked out everyday all day. Telling me I am not is simply childish and stupid. I am by definition locked out as a solo player, you may wish to pretend otherwise, but in doing so you are just acting the prick.

I agree this is a team thing you can do plenty in this game solo but like it says its online only... and the biggest thing in the game requires you too take advantage of that... grab some friends or randoms on the forums and raid its lots of fun Your the only one locking yourself out!

This is a concept that permeates this game community... that play should be made to conform to only one style of play. Whether it's PvE only, PvP only, or in your case, solo only, it's not how the game was made. There are several pieces to it. If you don't enjoy one piece, don't eat. Stick to the stuff you like. There are a lot of things killing this game, but the way raids are set up isn't one of them. Either do them or don't, but don't expect to pull them off solo. It's not impossible, (on CE), but very unlikely. I like solo and raids, but hate Crucible. I don't want to turn Crucible into another raid or solo play, because I'm glad there are options for other people. I just choose not to use it. That also means I forfeit any Iron Banner gear or weapons. That's not unfair, because it is available to me if I choose to participate as it's designed. I am not about to cry about having to do Iron Banner to get the gear. If I don't like part of the game, I ignore it. So long as they leave me alone, I'm glad to leave them alone.

Nope, again you are making up shit and attempting to build your case on it. No where do I even vaguely suggest the game should have one style of play, in fact I have gone out of my way to talk about OPENING up the game, yet your childish narrow minded view sees any suggestion that does not have sun shining out of bungies ass as a bad suggestion. I strongly suggest you try and open your mind to a world where things are not black and white. Read what I said, not once did I suggest that RAIDs should be altered in anyway it is only in your head, or perhaps you are pulling the idea from some other orifice. People like you are part of the problem, you answer is for players to shut up and just do the bits they like. My answer is to embrace all players, and to bring more to the table. why not take a couple of pvp maps , populate them with NPCs and make a cheap and dirty PVE event.... why not take an old RAID map and create a PVE or / AND PVP mission , map mode... if costs are the issue than this is answer. None of that impact your raid apart from non raid players using some of the code. I cant see one single reason for you to object to more game. Or you can stick with your dwindling RAID buddies, and hope there are enough people left for bungie to bother with more DLC ...
