How cool would this be??? 6 people racing out of an exploding Fallen ketch similar to endings of Halo 1, 3, etc. Anyone else think this would be fun?
EDIT: Deleted video link. I believe this video is a new strike, not raid. Either way, let's discuss fun mechanics of sparrow escape possibilities!
EDIT 2: TRENDING! so glad this many people care about having fun with sparrows and making them more useful!
EDIT 3: Wow. Really hope someone from Bungie already had this idea. Since they don't really listen on forums. :-)
EDIT 4: Been reading every single one of these posts sorry I can't get back to all of you. Thanks for the support and excellent suggestions. Seems the consensus says most of you like this idea!
EDIT 5: TRENDING for a solid 24 hours guys. Let's keep this post alive hopefully Bungie will see how much we want this!

I already had a plan for this. Here it is We just defeated the final boss in the raid, we think it's over but then, BAM! Out of no where, thousands of shanks come pouring out, flying at full speed coming straight at you. Knowing that you can't take them on (because there are literally thousands) you have to take off sprinting, you come around a corner and there you see it, 3 TWO SEATER PIKES! So your team gets on, three people are driving, swerving obstacles and making jumps over huge abysses and shooting things out of your path, while the other three on the back seat keep the mobs of shanks at bay. You finally make it out of the Fallen Ship you're in, or whatever and BAM you bust through the doors and fall hundreds of feet and land at the gate of the Tower. And then you enter the tower! (In my opinion it's much better than having to beat final boss, pull your ghost out and take everyone back to orbit) This calls for real good teamwork!! You have to depend on one another! If the driver crashes, then that group of 2 is out of the race to the end. If the guy on the back doesn't keep the shanks at bay, then the shanks destroy the pike!

There was a faked leak a while back claiming Crota's End would have one, among other things. The last level of Halo 3 was amazing, and if a raid were to have a similar sequence I would love it. In fact, that should be one of the missions for HoW. It would be a nice change from "go here and fight of enemies/kill boss" missions.

What was the video
-
And the sparrow from the raid could be a pike, even if it doesn't have guns it would be cool

HELL YES FCKN PLEASE

Edited by FLYING V: 1/26/2015 1:11:43 AMI think this would be a great mechanic. I think the more aspects of gameplay that are truly unique to that raid, the better. I really wanted to have a sparrow chase in Crota's end where guardians had to escape a swarm of witches and a gigantic ogre. 3 teams of 2 with a sparrow driver and a gunner sitting on the back shooting enemies chasing behind. Or maybe a gunship with 1 pilot and 5 turret gunners escaping from a cabal fleet.

This would make the raid 10x more fun, I'd love something like this!
-
It was an idea for CE originally but it was taken out
-
Oh yeah
-
Will never happen. Would actually require effort from Bungie.
-
-
That is actually pretty cool.
-
I like it. They should put sparrow skills to a test at some point in this game.

Only if we're escaping a blowing up ship, if we're running away than no don't add it.

Yes plz bump

....screw the sparrow how about incorporating the useless spaceship into the raid...shooting and getting chased by vandal fighters....but the sparrow chase sounds like it would be loads ov fun... -
So, I this was a rumor for the dark below about a month before it came out. A person on reddit said the raid would have a sparrow escape where you would be chased by a giant ogre. That would've been cool. So if we were to have it in House of Wolves that would be awesome. I've always wanted more vehicle integration other than travel from one area to another.

Bump this. Sounds like fun.
