Should there be duel-wielding?
Do you want duel wielding in the game? I sure hope you do. Make sure Bungie sees this, I miss my dual needlers (also, I don't care if it's copyright, I need them to sustain my blackened soul)

3 RepliesHow would that even work? You and a friend would be dueling over wielding a gun over the course of the match and wouldn't be focused on the task at hand. Would you have a QuickTime event where the fastest reaction time wins the duel and wields the weapon? To many variables to implement into the game.

Sure, why not. Who wouldn't want 2 No Land Beyonds? Put em together and you've got the firepower of a green sniper rifle!

It would have to be specific weapons though. As in, they come in pairs. Dual cannons would be another archetype like scouts, HCs, ARs, and PRs.

Yeah. Make it an exotic bounty in the next expansion. 1st - Talk to Lord Shaxx about (some guardian we do not know yet) and his legacy as a Crucible Warrior. 2nd - Find the 2 guns (x & x name) by getting them as RNG drops from Raids, Strikes etc. The guns are 2 seperate Hand Cannons that [u]CAN[/u] be used seperately. Once you have both return to Shaxx. 3rd - Enter the Crucible and average a 1.5 for 5 games straight. (Assists do count.) Then go back to Shaxx, he tells you to talk to the Gunsmith about the weaponary. 4th - Gunsmith tells you, that a bond of a kell is required for the Dual Wield weapons to come together. You have to hunt down a Kell of the Wolves in a seperate and unique story mission, it would be the hardest mission in the game at level 34 enemies (or whatever the light cap is). 5th - To recieve the gun, return to Shaxx and purchase the next expansion pass to get the weapon.

Edited by uklamen: 1/23/2015 9:27:11 PMI'm ok if an exotic is two smgs or something. Basically just looks or have each gun do a diff damage type for fun to make it semi useful. I'm sure it would make the punches be weird though. When you jump it's a slow motion dive to the side. Sadly the world around you would move at normal speed. I would be interested in a Titan subclass special would be where it plants in one spot like a turret using two of your heavy weapons. You can't move and each stick controls a gun independently.

I believe that they should have an exotic that's a dual hand cannon and each hand cannon has half the impact so that together they have the normal impact and wouldn't be op

Like others already said, no dual wielding of any current weapons and it would be fine to add. Just add a new dual weild-able gun that is in balance with other weapons when equipped. Actually sounds like the ideal destiny rng chase weapon. Make it exotic and now you would have to wait for two to drop before you can use them effectively (can equip and use only one if you want but it would be seriously underpowered). Double the chase + double the frustration and tears = perfect destiny exotic weapon
