Do you need to buy legendary armour?
Hi
Noob here. Sorry if this is a silly question.
Basically, i have spent 2 full days levelling up new monarchy to level 2 so i can buy some legendary armour. I have all blue armour and am level 25. I have access to the vault of glass. Does the VOG give raid gear as a reward, i mean, raid armour? If so, can i get away with not buying vanguard/crucible/faction gear and go straight to raid?

The vog raid gives Armor with a cap of 30 light Vendors offer armor with a cap of 33 light The new raid and exotics have 36 light The only reason I do vog is to get weapons and have fun with buddies

Better to buy vendor gear now. Anyways, it's best to not try vault until you are a 26.

Dont forget, vog is fun... Its the better one of the 2 raids imo.. Dont totaly skip it

VOG gear gets you 30 only. So buy faction gear to get to 31. However VOG drops ascendent materials which will help you level up that gear quicker. It also drops v2 exotics now which will help as well as elemental damage primary's.

Vendor gear made VOG gear obsolete. Just buy the vendor gear.

Vendor gear is better than stuff you get from vault.

Save up your marks and buy a full set of vendor gear and rank it up to get to 31. Vanguard is easier because you get 6 marks for beating 1 strike rather than doing crucible games that reward 3 if you win. Once you are at level 30, you can partake in crotas end to get to 32. Or level 27-29 if you have nice friends. That's your best approach
