Why lock exotic weapons behind k/d ratios?

I'll begin by stating that this is not a request to make exotic weapon bounties easier. I believe in having to put forth significant effort in obtaining high-powered or rare gear/weapons. My complaint is that some of these bounties, Thorn and Invective in particular, are locked behind a threshold that I personally will *never* be able to rise above. As an older player, my twitch response and overall reflexes are never going to allow me to compete with the vast majority of the younger players out there. I had the Thorn and Invective bounties completed up to the Crucible stages and they have sat at 0/500 and 0/25 respectively for weeks of Crucible play. I simply cannot get a positive k/d no matter how hard I try. On the other hand, I have Bad JuJu 1/3rd complete, as all it requires is patient persistence and the kills eventually rack up. I might be able to finish that in another week or so of Crucible play. The Invective bounty I've already deleted, and I'm on the brink of deleting the Thorn as well out of frustration. I'm simply never going to "get gud" at PvP. I am primarily a PvE'r and care little about PvP, so I do it reluctantly (and terribly) in an attempt to acquire these non-PvP specific weapons to further my PvE experience. I don't mind slogging through PvP in order to complete these, as long as the requirements are reasonable, such as total kills, matches won, medals obtained, etc.. On the other hand, I see no problem locking PvP-specific exotics behind k/d ratios; the PvP'ers can have as many of those as they want and I will never ask for a single one. But any PvP'er can PvE if they want the Vex or any other PvE -specific exotic out there. Not every PvE'r can PvP well, so I don't know why Bungie has placed requirements on some of these exotics that are completely unattainable to players such as myself.
