2 RepliesYou forgot: let the hunter do all the work. I like "run as a team to each lamp, but don't stick around to revive the fallen."

Invis solo

Run as a team. First to reach lamp turn and cover teammates. Second to reach the lamp look at next lamp, the second thralls start coming from that direction he yells "be out". Void Walker, usually me, your job is clearing thralls behind the team. Striker with Void Walker, you should be grabbing orbs, if thralls are to close, titan smash, a little distance nova bomb. All others should just stay alive, and when Knight pop out they are your priority. If you follow this method all should reach safely. Blade Dancer. Go stealth and be ready to cross the bridge the second its formed.

I switch up my agility to high I arm my scout rifle that has firefly And armour piercing rounds. So each bullet will go through and damage an entire pack of charging thrall, each headshot will trigger an explosion. So I usually run ahead of the pack, then turn and cover my team mates running behind me and set off once they all get to the lamp. Once at the bridge I jump onto the Rock and snipe the ogres. Then when the bridge is formed I run over the bridge then cover my team mates killing all the thrall and ogres trying to come up behind us.

Sprint as fast as you can and never look back.

Have done all 3 ways and I have seen the " 3 then 3" way work the best

Why would you revive the Fallen?

4 RepliesI solo the "lamps" (I think Bungie referred to this section as The Pit). But only on hunter. I use Don't Touch Me of course, and all the invisibilty perks with my agility maxed. Then it's just staying invisible, run to lamp, wait til weight of darkness gets down to zero, hop on top of the lamp, look for next lamp while turning invisible again, repeat. I save my super for when the lamps are really far apart so i can go invisible twice before it ends. Then when approaching the bridge, i bust out Gjallarhorn, hop on the rock (sometimes the taller rock if i can get weight of darkness to stay off of me), launch a gazillion rockets at the Ogre (ok..maybe just 3 or 4), then just wait it out. Super easy. I don't have a group, nor do i like looking for random groups, so raiding isn't my thing. I'm just happy i can solo this first part with my hunter (my main). Got legs and arms, hoping for chest next (if this is possible, anyone know if The Pit drops chest armor?)

Everyone for themselves lol
-
Screw everyone go invisible and solo it XD
-
Whatever your strategy, just make sure to scream "ARRRRRRRGH!" from the time you start falling, until you make it to the bridge.
-
My team sends me ahead, since im a hunter with dont touch me and I can solo it, and they truck along while i stealth my way to the end and open the bridge for them.

4 RepliesI don't need to outrun a horde of Thralls. I just need to outrun you.
-
Fatebringer and don't touch me gauntlets
-
Solo it every time because my fireteam sucks. ;(
-
2 RepliesVoidwalker, bad juju, obsidian mind, and ice breaker with +2 agility
-
Max agility with sunsinger and outrun all the thrall while everyone follows after the 3rd lamp.
-
I can solo it with any class, so I usually leave my team behind. It's bad practice, but ultimately much faster.
-
Run turn around shoot repeat
-
3 RepliesHunter bladedancer solo with invisibility perks all the way, I just get all the way to the end just before the light, I wait for the rest of the team to catch up, then swap out my guy for 1 of my others, join the game and my team run into the light job done, do it 3 times for everyone each week
